Proposal Overview:
Revamp of the Underground (Dredge) Fractal and the Reward System
Goal of the Proposal:
Everyone, seriously, hates this fractal. Coming from an avid Fractal player, the constant changes to this fractal in the opposite direction of where it needs to go has made sure that I haven’t stepped foot in a fractal since. This fractal, along with the extremely sub-par rewards have killed all motivation for myself and my friends to do fractals.
Proposal Functionality:
- Pressure Plates
Lower the amount of dredge in the room, or completely remove their ability to respawn, allowing groups to clean the room and then channel. - Bombs
Not a bad idea for a room however the sea of dredge calls for stealth either from an engi or a thief (most groups use a thief) and this is simply bad design. Again, lowering the amount of dredge or simply allowing groups to clean/cull the room beforehand would solve everything. As it is right now, without stealth this room is simply impossible to do on a 49. - Door room
Again. An ocean of dredge. Stealth required, I’m just repeating myself. - Clone Car
Remove it. Seriously. - Dredge suit/Ice Elemental
Probably the only well designed encounter in the entire fractal.
Onto rewards -
For one, allow the skin box to drop. I know this has been said plenty of times in this thread already. Arenanet stated it would be in the patch, it is not. Put it in.
Doing basic dungeons like CoF path 1, AC all paths, CoE all paths allows players to gain just as much and more gold doing it in the same time or less than a fractal 49 run to get a pitiful 1.4g. Bump up the gold amount big time.
1-9: 50s
10-19: 1g
20-29: 1.5g
etc
Even just this little bit helps.
Reverting the skin drop rate back to pre-fractured drop rates would satiate a great amount of players.
Associated Risks:
Making your playerbase happy has no risks.
07. Phantasms do not inherit your weapon quality
They default to Exotic weapon regardless of what you have equipped.
08. Equipped upgrades do not apply to phantasms
Damage multipliers such as Force sigil, Scholar/Ranger rune 6th bonus.
Stat bonuses such as Sigil of Accuracy.
Above all else I would love these to be fixed/added in/etc
Love the list! Hopefully this one gets attention like the last thread did.
The difference between this game and any other MMO ever made is that this game gives you lackluster content that dilutes a great base game while charging for almost everything on the gem store that should instead be things we get in the game world (outfits, armour sets, etc). If you try and complain about it you get blasted with people who say “It’s free!” and defend anet to the death instead of asking for actual content and not run around and press F on “clues” in a desert (props to the environment team though, it is a nice looking zone. Distinct and fun to explore).
I liked the idea I saw in another thread about replacing “Rebound” with a “Signet of Arcana”, passive is quickness procs on crit with an ICD and the active recharging Attunements on cooldown.
Yeah it’s literally blocking progress. Achievement progress. This is, like many others, last thing needed to finish the lumi set. I am hoping beyond all hope the next patch fixes it.
Auramancer goal
It is quite clear that the goal is to make this elite specialization the auramancer that never happened with base elementalist. Fine. But make it fun.
Suggestions:
1. First of all, remove all trait auras in other lines and consolidate in the Tempest trait line. Take out from fire, air, earth and water (yes remove powerful aura as well and replace with something better. Tempest is already giving party wide auras so that grandmaster is redundant).
2. Give each line of the Tempest traits a purpose. Make one to be perhaps geared towards selfish builds, another designed around party-wide support and the last one geared towards the weapon and the utilities (warhorn and shouts).
3. Create an unique aura to come with the Tempest. Give the class that special something that is missing right now and an unique aura that made you go “Wow this aura is cool!” would really help sell this elite specialization.
I’d like to highlight this as something Tempest TRULY requires now. The traits for auras are such a mess all over the place that placing them in the Tempest line gives us very strong auras and a UNIQUE playstyle, something all the other elite specs have except for us.
I seriously hope no one would actually defend anet by doing this. Making dyes account wide would be great, but since this is Anet, you know it will be done in a way that kittenes the majority of people off. The current dye system is fine. I do not want to NEED gems to even simply unlock them, even the idea of an Unlimited Identifier is ridiculous.
