Boss monsters resetting too eagerly

I can’t comment on the fish and I have seen normal trash mobs do this, not often but particularly underwater. Goes invuln and swims/runs back to its start position. If you chase it down you can often re-tag it before it regens full health.

As for the commander in the coil, it goes without saying you need a decent sized group, he ports to various platforms. If you’re zerging around like a pack of kids chasing a foot ball he goes out of range and resets. The fact that he taunts you for it when this happens suggests it’s by design. Have some players spread out to tag him when he ports. Stop worrying about getting gold rating , you’ll have plenty of uptime on him.

As for enemies hitting too hard.. gear for and spec in some toughness/vital/regen. Remember theres no ‘class roles’ in this game and for the most part your survivability is your responsibility. Full damage is fun, but dead = no damage.

Hold right mouse button move mouse left or right. Do it fast you turn fast.
If you’re keyboard turning….. learn to stop it.

I know what your saying and I agree with your sentiment on what a dragon battle should be. However if you want to give it that kind of capability how long do you think you would last? No amount of rolling out the way or pricking at his hands with your puny little weapon is going to win. I think they did a pretty good job within the boundaries of the games “coding?” epic moments like tequatl busting out of the sea, Jormag losing his wings.. Shatterer landing, the thing in the queensdale swamp and maybe more I havnt yet seen. Its not often I just smile at my screen and cast a quiet expletive of awe and so far this game delivers.

If you want Ninja Gaiden, God of War (add whatever combat game you like) physics based combat you probably wont find it here.

I love these games (MMO’s in general) because of their sheer size and complexity. I like that I can play the game until my eyes bleed and my brain cant take it anymore. (The buzz wears off) I’ve played too many games in my time to get any joy out of playing for 8 hrs of roller coaster and it all being done when its over.

Maybe I’m showing my age but games have come a looooong way since the ones i first started playing as a kid, perhaps I appreciate it more because of this? Dunno

This went too far

It’s quite amusing, (I just report and block) But the mails come within seconds of speaking in map chat. Especially Lions arch, My guess is your quite vocal in the areas you visit. It’s not a great solution but watching your use of chat could help..

Thank you!

Agreed the sheer scale of what you have created here is simply breath-taking, time and again i just stop to look around… (unless i’m in orr solo stopping is just dangerous..)

The sheer amount of work thats been put into this game blows me away. I play this game on akittenfine rig at 2560×1600 and the amountt of time i spend just looking at my character is silly O.o

Events, dragons, crafting, combat, WvW still so much learn

Thank you Anet
