Guild Wars 2

I run in pvp quite alot and i’ve just noticed that whilst a win in hotjoins rewards you with 500 rank points it only seems to grant 200 rank towards the Avenger achievement path. I was wondering if this is a known bug or intended or whatever.

Hey all, i’m starting recruiting for a brand new pvx guild on Maguuma. We’re small at the moment (20 players and counting!) but we’re looking for fun and friendly people to help us grow.

We don’t enforce any type of gear, level or repping restrictions as we’re focussed on building a little community around our guild. We have a teamspeak 3 server and as we get more members i’ll starting running events like temples runs, WvW roaming, guild quizzes and giveaways and more. I’d love to have people who want to help the guild grow and our core group of 10 have been playing since launch and are always available to help new players.

Bumping thread, still looking for players!

Exactly the same problem as the above two posters. The problem with the warrior class is their lack of focus, we do a few things well but only if we trait exclusively for it, PVE Warriors are great but in WvW and PvP we are just lacking in all aspects. We barely buff our allies, we can’t heal well even as a shout heal warrior, we take a ton of damage and our output is lackluster at best unless we’re full zerker which comes with its own problems as we are going to die almost immediately to any sustained damage, our crowd control is ok but we’re annoying at best not full on lockdown masters.

The warrior class needs a serious revision and this jack of all trades master of none thing needs to be addressed, Warriors shouldn’t feel like the tutorial class for Guild Wars, give us some complexity. Make our play style feel more 3 dimensional. I’m not even going to pretend i understand the decisions made in terms of class balance, its just way above and beyond me. All i can tell is from playing my warrior every time i’ve logged on since launch that the class has changed dramatically and not for the better. Fingers crossed that we are going to be overhauled but i would guess it won’t be for months, guess i’ll level a guardian or something.

Had lots of interest so far, we still have 15 or so slots left in the main guild. Completed our first guild rush tonight (well we did 2 so we could get all guildies their commendations) was lots of fun

Well would you look at that outmanned. The [BURN] guild held towers tonight against 5 times our numbers for 40 or 50 minutes at a time. im very proud of our guild for that. The fights we had against Ehmry were absolutely epic and mad props to them for taking us out eventually , great start to the week.

We are Seraphim Martyrs [BURN] a 500 strong PvX guild on Borlis pass. We strive to create an active, fun and friendly atmosphere for our members where the emphasis of our play is on fun and meeting our members goals. Whatever you hope to achieve in game, we can help.

PVE

We have an extremely active PvE section of the guild clearing content and achieving progression everyday for members both new and experienced. No matter the content you can be assured that someone in the guild will want to run it with you or have helpful tips and advice for you along the way. We try to keep each other apprised of the latest dungeon tactics, what dragons or world events are up and with our dedicated officers running large guild events each week there is always something going on!

WvW
[BURN] are proud to be the most active WvW guild on the Borlis pass server. We boast over 20 commanders from across all time zones and run frequently in all of the borderlands and Eternal battlegrounds. We are part of the Borlis WvW community and organize with our allies in strategy for reset and throughout the week. If you love to fight you will be right at home with us, if you’re a new commander and want training, you will be right at home with us and if you just want to roam in a group with like minded friends and cause some mayhem you will be right at home with us!

SPvP

We have seasoned PVP vets from guild wars who are looking build a good SPvP core within the guild, we’d love to have more people on board to make this a reality!

About the guild and what you can expect from us

Our structure works as follows -

We have a council of 5 leaders who decide the direction of the guild and direct workflow to the Lieutenants and officers.

We have 3 Lieutenants who oversee PVE/WvW/Guild recruitment and policy respectively and organize events with the officers.

We have a team of 12 or so officers who run the events for the members on a schedule and who help the new members in the guild with whatever they need. We are always looking for active dedicate people to join the ranks of our officers.

We have a dedicated website http://www.seraphimmartyrs.enjin.com/forum and ventrilo server for our members with organised channels for PVE, Dungeons, WvW, Guild Events and even our own DJ streaming music for our members.

We try to run all of the buffs available to us at all times, at the moment its hit and miss due to unlocking the guild events but as we’re nearly finished with them we will be running our buffs 24/7 again soon.

We have Guild bounties, Guild Treks and Guild rushes unlocked and we run these several times per week to make sure all of our members have a chance to join in!

What we expect

We have no class, level, gear or play style requirements. We only ask that our members are respectful to one another, that they represent the guild at all times and play on the Borlis Pass server.

I know its sometimes hard to join such a large guild and that large numbers don’t always make a better guild, but i truly feel that we are a close and friendly community.
