All these extra Ascended materials that keep piling up in my bank…I’m of course talking about Dragonite ore, Bloodstone dust and Empyreal fragments. My characters are drowning in it!

Something like this would be nice.

In the mystic forge:

Dragonite ore (250) – Bloodstone dust (250) – Empyreal fragments (250) – Mystic stone (hey, maybe players will actually buy them now!)

You have a chance of getting the following:

Tier one (highest chance) – (250) of X Ascended material (ha! You lose) or Silk Scraps (50) or Mithril ore (50) or Elder wood log (50) or Thick leather (50)

Tier two (lower chance) – Tier six fine crafting materials (5-20) or Obsidian Shards (5-10) or Mystic clovers (3) or X Loadstone (2-5)

Tier three (lowest chance) – Spiritwood plank (1) or Deldrimor steel ingot (1) or Bolt of Damask (1) or Elonian Leather Square (1)

I don’t think this would crash the economy, but it will bring down the cost of Ascended materials, which in turn would help bring down the cost of the precursor collections. As we all know, the current state of them is a little too high when you factor in time spent.

I’m sure when Anet made these Ascended materials they didn’t want people deleting full stacks of them daily.

I understand that this is technically not the correct avenue for such questions, but I truly feel that the avid readers of this particular forum will have a unique view on the matter at hand. One I would respect far more than the tendentious responses I may receive from the general forum.

Moving on…

My friend has a 13" Macbook air 1.7GHz 8gb ram. I was looking into gifting him a copy of the game for xmas. A few questions….

1. Considering all of the current problems with the mac beta – should I buy this as a gift to a Mac fan boy? I’d hate for him to be discouraged from a multitude of bugs, inevitably giving up on such a great game.

2. In the process of buying the game through the GW2 website – I’m asked for a email address, Does this need to be his email or mine?

3. Finally, correct me if I’m wrong, but If i do deiced to get a hard copy of the game via Amazon-all he would need from the box is the game key. Proceeding from there to download the Mac beta.
