I don’t think I said anything about your gear. I was talking about utility. You can bring healing spring with a gs/axe-axe build and cleanse while at the same time actively preventing damage with whirling defense and cleave. Your focus on your zerker gear just confirms more that you are too focused on your 5k lb auto attacks rather than supporting your team. You stealth yourself during the grub phase and then take pride in being the last man standing ressing your team.

And anyway, “the rest of my team was crap” is not a good argument for “my build is good”.

In a time where Berserker is the only real way of progressing, then why I am getting hated for using what works at the scene? Because a guardian has access to wall of reflection does that give him a free pass even when the guy is clearly using Cleric’s armor just for the sake of better team contribution? So what I am not standing in range for spotter, or the frost spirit dies instantly wherever you spawn it at the fight. A warrior doesn’t get any flack for camping longbow dropping firefields.

The general conclusion really is that people hate seeing rangers use longbow. Period.

So I had this issue a couple of times already were Rapid Fire suddenly stops dealing damage even if I am within range for it to hit, No red words pop-up saying that I am out of range or it being obstructed etc.

If I then just cancel the channel and give it another shot again after the cooldown it works again, seems to be a hit and miss thing. Perhaps lagg on my side?

I am not some longbow camping bearbow, I use my sword with axe in off-hand and greatsword on swap. Like I said I prefer longbow in THAT fight, because no ranger is crazy enough to use sword on shaman.

Plus I am running this so called 4/5/0/5/0 build with Spotter and Frost Spirit, because god forbid if you didn’t you probably wouldn’t be allowed anywhere.

When is this kitten ever going to end? So I like playing my ranger, does this mean I become the blacksheep of the group as soon as something goes haywire?

So I joined this level 49 Fractal group, First and second fractal went just fine, then the third was Legendary Imbued Shaman aka the Pug killer.

Being a ranger, I prefer the longbow on this boss for the strong ranged dps and stealth for those annoying grubs that spawn.

So what happens is that everybody in my group went down because we didn’t have enough dps to take down the army of grubs that spawn. I was the only one standing and tried to kill some of the grubs to rally my teammates, this didn’t work out and suddenly I was standing in Lion’s Arch again.

This all really started on the second fractal when apparently the electric orbs the Harpy shoot that knock you down, Is now a ranger skill and I got told not to use the electric orb skill? So at that point they started hating at me, gentle but still.

I guess this story also fits for other classes such as Necromancer and Engineer these days. Pathetic really. I just wish people would look at their own faults and failures from time to time and stop pointing fingers at the ’’inferior’’ classes.

My 2 cents for today.

What do we have left? What did we actually get out of the latest patch?

10 minute solo instance, Orr-like overhaul on Kessex Hills, RNG Black Lion chest weapon skins, 3 new armor skins ( Gemstore ), New healing skill, PVP Finisher, Tool-tip fixes with minimal balance changes.

Is this really it? Am I missing something? Are these the kind of patches we are waiting for every 2 weeks? I know I am not.

My bad for not responding, playing GTA 5 for now so am a little non-active towards GW2.
I do understand that making your own goals and objectives is the way to go in guild wars. I have over 80 months on my Guild Wars 1 account so I know where am going.

I already have Dungeon Master, am at 8600+ achievement points, I completed every meta achievement from past living world content, except for the new TA path ( screw you scarlet ) I have 2 level 80 characters with 100% world completion. Tier 1-2-3 Cultural armor on both my 80’s. Unique weapon skins.

What else is left? Most of my in-game friends either left the game or just log in to do the daily and run some CoF/SE and be done with it again, and I can’t blame them. Because doing world bosses for the 500th time tends to get boring ( same for dungeons )

Now what? Go back to running dungeons again? Create a new character?

For me getting a legendary was more of a accomplishment, an achievement sorta say.
It was nice swinging that Frostfang around for a couple of days, now it is just another Axe skin.
So to those that also made a legendary and are still playing. What keeps YOU playing?

You realize that you’ll delete them, immediately regret it and in a moment of boredom or desire you’ll just make new characters with the empty slots sitting there staring you right in the face every time you log in, right? Right? Trust me, I’ve been there

Thanks for the replies. It seems that the warrior is the more logical choice right now, like Ision mentioned unless they buff Axe on ranger ( probably won’t happen anytime soon) it is best to just save it for my warrior.
I also have a fully geared Guardian but Guardian can’t use Axe so… yeah. My Guardian is the most played character I have though, it tends to get the most attention as well just because guardian is so strong right now (’’balanced’’?) But I didn’t want to be another Greatsword guardian with sunrise/twilight look at my shiny, it’s so shiny guardian.

So I am almost done with this beauty, yet I have 1 simple problem. On what character am I going to put it. I really liked the design of the axe being shaped after a dragon’s head and actually breathing making it feel alive. But since legendary’s are somewhat of a hard goal to achieve you want to make sure you actually get to use the thing.

So am here at the moment: I have a Ranger fully geared in ascended etc. I do enjoy ranger to some degree, although it is obvious that ranger is pretty weak at the moment compared to others. That said, Axe on ranger is also one of those weapons you tend to ignore as a whole, is it condition? or pure damage? the auto attack is tediously slow and a pure downscale in dps compared to sword/ shortbow / greatsword.

So should I just put it on my ranger and be happy with it? OR should I level up my warrior to 80, gear him out and then put the legendary on him? Hard choice in my opinion and that is why am asking you guys. What would you guys do?

Ranger? or level my warrior and put it on him? Or go crazy and level my necromancer and go powermancer with axe? ( not my cup of tea so probably not a option)

Out of curiosity whats your magic find? and were you using magic find foods?

3% , which came from the exotic Karka ring or accessory. No food or such. Believe me magic find is one big scam. It’s just a matter of luck and I got lucky this time.

Attended / No loot / No mail.

Like I said in the title I spend over 2 Hours on the Ancient Karka event. Yet I disconnected like many others. It was promised those who disconnected or attained at the event will be getting the rewards none the less in the near future.

So today I checked my in-game mail yet I did not receive anything at all, I repeat nothing.
My Inbox is empty. Although it seems that people who just logged in that day, not attaining at the event at all are getting the mail with the chest. What is going on here? some random lottery pickings?

I am on the European server Gunnar’s Hold. There are more people reporting within my guild and server that they are also not getting the reward.

This isn’t gaming breaking or destroying the fun playing the game, it leaves me a little disappointed.
My tip; No more one time events please.

Norn Male / Ranger, mediocre sized. Doing jumping puzzles with a Male Norn is so hard because they feel so clunky when jumping.

Why is Asura missing the Shadow effect on dodge when the Thief profession is selected?
In my opinion this makes the thief look distinct from the other professions.
It makes me sad because the Asura have the best animations in the game and are a well designed race.

Hope A-net fixes this or adds this so I can play a Asura Thief
