Condi rev reminder arenanet

Tested condi rev pretty extensively yesterday using realistic buffs on the stationary large 4mil hp golem and the mobile 1mil hp golem.

Stationary: 23.5k
Mobile: 24.5k

The mobile golem unfortunately doesn’t have a higher hp option, so I imagine the actual dps would be .5 to 1k higher since it just dies too fast to get a really accurate number. My rotations weren’t perfect, so I imagine if someone with even better rotations came in they could manage 1-2k more on both golems. Overall it seems to be nearly comparable to Power Rev.

Build was Devastation/Corruption/Invocation. Mallyx/Jalis, geomancy/smoldering, veggie pizza toxic focusing. I found Glint to be a 1.5-2k dps loss over Jalis and the Herald traitline to be less dps than Invocation even with Jalis.

Condi rev might actually do well on Matthias or VG; gonna try it with my guild soon to see what types of numbers I get.

Which weapon sets are you using?

Hey, I have been wondering ,does using power build while wielding condi weaponry make any sense?

For example if I would want to play power-stat necro while using scepter/dagger which are condition based weapons, would this make my character weaker or can I roll like that through whole game?

Hey, yesterday I’ve hit lv 30 with my Revenant which I’m having hella fun playing.
I went to the first dungeon to check it out < didnt do story mode dung yet>,joined some guys who had like 80-100lv and I wasnt even sure what was going on and got my ass kicked by some spider queen or smth like that.
Question is : should I complete story mode dungeon , forget about it and start dungeoning after I’ve hit lv80 and got some awesome gear on me or can I somehow be of use before that.

About Necromancer and Ranger.

I’d like to wield two-hander as a future Reaper, so I guess i have to go with power type weapons/skills. I’d like to use axe/smth since using axe allows me to refrain from face to face combat. I need a sugestion about 2n weapon set, should I go with dagger/smth or staff, while it seems to be a more condi-like weapon?

And about Ranger. Since their elite spec is Druid , if I ever hit lv 80 with ranger can I avoid being healer and just do power or condi pew pew from a distance dealing dmg? Or is it mandatory of me to become a druid and heal even if I dont want to play like that?

Thanks in advance for replying, Im still newb at this game and sorry for not so perfect english!

No expansion - disadvantage?

Hey, just a quick question.

How much of a disadvantage I’ll be when playing without expansion?
I know HoT have some new things like specializations etc.
Can I play base game without being inferior to players who bought the expansion, it’s possible that I’ll buy it in some time because right now I’m a bit short on money.
