I started ranked pvp for the first time in this season. Every match I play at least half of the players are necromancers or warriors.

Are there balance problems in gw2 pvp?

Hello Saiyan,

I returned to the game after 1 year break and boosted a guardian to 80. I really like the concept of traps and longbow in a heavy armor profession. I do not have ranked pvp experience because my rank was below 20 in season 2. I tried different builds with the longbow and done a lot of unranked matches. Now I am pvp rank 23 and I want to fight in ranked season 3.

I really loved your build (especially weapons and combos) and will try it tonight in some unranked matches. My question is I do not have any team and do not think to take part in any team because I prefer to solo queue. What role I can do with this build in solo queues and should I force 1vs1 against other players?

Hey,
I am a newish player who boosted a guardian. I like the longbow and prefer to use it most of the time. For the offhand I am a fan of sword+focus or torch.

My question is are there any viable builds with these weapon setups for pve, generally open world and solo. Also I am not sure to use berserker or viper. Any guardian veterans who can guide me? Tips, tricks which skills to use? Thanks all.

Need suggestions for choosing a profession

Greetings all,

I am a new player (veteran mmo player though) who is trying a find a class that I can have fun playing. I checked the internet and build editors, looking at the abilities of each class possess. It seems there are a lot of different ways to play. Although I am sure not all of them are viable in pvp, pve or pve.

I want to play a profession that is not brain dead easy nor requiring a lot of micro management. I like to deal damage through conditions mostly and to be able to support efficiently. I do not aim to play a selfish class or spec. Also I like to play unique specializations, not fotm specs.

Which profession can provide the thing I would like?

From my research condi mesmer, revenant or ranger seems viable. Or am I wrong?

I see there are different opinions about the issue and I think it looks wise to reroll to a thief or warrior. Another question, are minions have low AI or am I doing something wrong? It is hard to make them do things you want them to do. Looks like they have free will most of the time. Also if I roll a thief, can I take part in zergs using melee weapons?

Thank you for your informative post.

Which classes can solo dungeons with the right gear and build?

Out of curiosity which class is the least useful in pve?

Greetings,

I started the game about 20 days ago and rolled necromancer as my first character. I am a total Guild Wars newbie. I always hear or read that necromancer is not welcome to many groups and does not do very well among other professions.

I will mainly do WvW and some pve. Maybe I will try spvp(not sure what spvp is thoug) too. Since I do not have many mates playing the game, I do not want to depend on someone. I need a character that can take care of himself on field of battle and has strong 1v1 presence. I am planning to roam and zerg and want to be efficient in both styles.

Currently sitting on level 76 with my necromancer. Is it worth it to make him level 80 and spend currency or roll another character for my purposes?

Thank you

P.S. : I would like to try soloing dungeons if that is possible by any profession in the game..
