Thanx for the offer! Since you had problems with 7 ppl, I gonna wait till we are at a solid number of 9 for the claim^^ Current number is 5 but I haven’t checked ingame mail yet.
Which time would suite you best? Since tomorrow is christmas and all I guess 27th would be best for most players? Gonna ask a bit around to find a good time slot
Hello fellow Tyrians!
As the topic suggestes, I am looking for help to conquer Lost Precipice! I read a few forum posts and guess we need to be around 5-10 ppl to claim it (due to scaling). So if you play on an EU server and are willing to help out, I would compensate you for your efforts (5g + 50 Wintersdaygifts /person on success). If you are interested, pls answer to this post or write me an ingame message.
Happy wintersday!
Rukar
I can only concur with the former writers. I dont mind attempts to improve the performance, but the blackbox policy that is shown here is nowhere near how interaction with the community should work.
But back to the tech:
If my fireball causes other players’ computers to crash, than I admit that the new animations are nescessary, while still beeing quite unfortunate.
But let’s take a view:
- The rendering is client based (mainly).
- The game has already an option to adjust the animations detail
→ Why not add skills’ animation level to the adjustment?
That is a much better design than what was shiped to us. I understand that there can arise problems with the implemention of such a feature, depending on the original design, but you might find people less angry on those nerfs if you offered them an insight into the reasoning of your decision. And with insight I refer to the technical complications and/or game design intentions preventing the implementation and not something that reads like a “science” article in a local rag.
OK 300 now (maybe a bit more…) NO single indigo.
My thoughts on it:
First, the chance must be >1% in any reasonable design
Argumentation: You need 25 of them for the milk. Assume a 1% chance per node and a harvest rate of: 6 [nodes]/1 min
You would need 6.94… hours in average to get your milk. That is already much but any more would seem like a plain failure of game design (I remember them bragging about “no grinding” in GW2 – is 7h harvesting better?)
Second, the droptable is buged – at least for some accounts
I try to verify as good as possible if I really encounter a bug and there is rarely any 100% guarantee – especially if rng is involved … BUT logic is on my side here: My chances of not getting any mushroom are lower than 5%. Since I talked with a couple of people and they all agreed that they do indeed drop from normal nodes, the chances on a bug are >95%. I invested several hours now to get solid numbers to show, but now, it is time for the developers to get this thing solved – I did all I could to help and it’s time to pass the ball to them.
Make it count!
I did some research and have everyone seems to tell the same: They are a rare drop from “common mushroom patches”. Someone stated on reddit an estimated chance of 1/50. OK that’s low but I can live with it. After having harvested 150+ button mushrooms and 40+ Portobello patches, I guess I have spend quite som time trying…
So I did some calculations: What are my chances of not getting any indigo?
P(Indigo)=1/25 → P(No Indigo after 200 nodes) < 0.028% hmm OK lets try 1/50
P(Indigo)=1/50 → P(No Indigo after 200 nodes) < 1.76% how about 1% chance?
P(Indigo)=1/100 → P(No Indigo after 200 nodes) < 13.4%
result: Even if the chance to get a single indigo mushroom is one in one hundred, the chances that I havent received one yet are lower than 13.4% I seem to be quite unlucky but this is the first number that is within a range that I can call bad luck.
I will continue my research till I reach 300 attempts. Than my chance for “bad luck” have dropped to <5%. But since I need 5 of them for my collection, the numbers start to look kind of odd, if I compare it with the number of nodes I harvested to get my blossoms for Kudzu…
I keep you updated
I have same problem with this collection. Some people are aware of the difficulty and kind enough to lend a hand. Which is sadly not true for everybody… Many players are just not aware that someone is trying to fail an event, because they are new and struggle too much with their fight to read the chat The people that really get under my skin are those who reply “Why should I care” and though it is sad to admit it, but there seems always to be a griefer within reach if you need one.
