I agree. I don’t like having to hammer the F key in the middle of a battle just to make sure I get my loot.

Yes I know bags drop at your feet but most of the time you are moving around the map pushing back or being pushed by zerg waves. It’s fine when you are on a keep wall picking off the attackers but the system isn’t very good when you are out fighting.

I live in Australia and have learned to deal with most of the lag and get around it. There is however one set of jumps that I simply cannot do to get to one of the hidden areas, other than that the jumps can be done when you get used to the lag.

Tip for other Aussies that miss longer jumps because of lag: Don’t jump until your character’s foot (one foot, not both) steps off the side. If you time it right you won’t walk off, and you will jump far enough to make it.

As for the vines eating keys… That’s what the candle is for. Drop your key, burn the vines with the candle (#5) grab your key again and proceed. If you are playing with other people have one person run ahead and clear the way for the key holder(s).

If you used your GW2 password in other places (games, fan sites, etc) that’s likely the reason your password is now in their hands.

However, if your password was compromised by a keylogger or some other form of malware changing it while your computer is still infected won’t help.

If you only scanned your computer with your AV software I suggest using some of the free software options available and/or visiting one of the many tech/security forums that provide free assistance to members of the forum.

A few bits of software that are commonly used:
ESET Online scanner (Can find Trojans better than some of the free AV software like AVG)
Malwarebytes (You can download a free version of their software from their website)

As other players have already said if you can’t buy from the TP the odds are you are experiencing a common bug that seems to have something to do with the way ANet handles the TP and Gem shop. Closing the game (going to character select is not enough) and restarting it has always fixed the bug for me, and everyone else that I know who has had the same problem.

Another symptom of the same bug is your gem amount will be displayed as … (blue gem) instead of a number (blue gem).

I believe the problem is with the “awesomiumprocess.exe” which GW2 and other games like DDO/LOTRO use as part of their in game browser / cash shop. The program is probably either being blocked by windows or third party firewall the first time the game is run or perhaps it just isn’t syncing up correctly. I’ve tried killing the process to see what happens and as suspected the shop / tp will not work without it. Closing the active TP/shop window will restart the process and allow you to browse again, but it will not allow you to buy anything. To resolve that you still need to close the game and restart it. Perhaps this will help ANet sort it out.

The same thing happened to me, twice now. This is just really poor design. You can go back into all the other dungeons if a DC happens, but not this one. This needs to be changed quickly.
