Fix is simple: after 1 boss, if the team kick out a member, the dungeon reset kicking out the entire party.

So if one player gets disconnected or goes AFK, the others can’t kick him or they lose all the progress? Thanks for showing us that some people have even worse ideas than Arena Net…

If you killed boss X you should get the reward for killing it, period.

By all means add an extra reward at the end, scaling with the number of bosses you killed, but withholding the rewards until the final boss would be completely stupid even in a game without all the dungeon-breaking bugs that GW2 currently has.

Doing it with GW2 in its current state and MoP coming out tomorrow is simply suicidal.

Dungeons should actually flag end-rewards based on number of bosses you defeated, so that if they replace you with another person at the last phase, he’ll get 0 tokens for it.

Yes, it’s great. This way 4 people from a guild can PUG you, make you play through every boss, then kick you on the last boss and invite someone else from their guild, and that player gets all the tokens and you get zero.

Why reward people for the bosses they actually killed when they can simply make the dungeon a gamble until the very end, eh?

Really good design… (not)

Happened to me. That’s the main reason I stop playing Dungeons anymore.

Anet, i suggest you create a new thread for people who beta-test the bug on DR tokens for you, and keeping this thread on feedback for after patching.

This is supposed to be a discussion thread on our experiences in dungeons after patch implemented, not us posting test-run results for your bugs.

Where did you get the idea that this thread wasn’t for reporting the effects of the changes they made to the reward system?

Read number 2. Feedback isn’t about countless posts reporting number of tokens at when with how many runs. That’s irritating.

Dungeons will really be fun if there’s more than 1 way to complete it.

In my opinion, like players can CHOOSE whether to kite mobs around or fight those mobs, in Magg’s bomb planting example. I know those path choices are already an option, but players would prefer to have alternative solutions to complete those dungeons catering to their group combination.

So if you got kicked just before the last phase by the other 4 people, and they invite another guy to replace you, you are happy with that?

I typically run with a dedicated group, so if I got replaced it was because I had a serious outage.

If you can manage to get someone else into the same instance afterward, that would be unfortunate for said user. Honestly though, this seems like a fix to prevent people from abusing “shard runs” and the like. They’ve already stated that it is not exactly permanent.

My personal opinion is that I disagree with you. I was a victim of being an ‘unaware filler’ for another person right until the end phase of a dungeon, in my stated example.

If a group manage to achieve and complete a phase of a dungeon, then they should be rewarded respectively. It’s not abuse if they did their job. I haven’t done Arah so I do not know how difficult or easy it is, but if its relatively easy then its the dungeon design’s flaw, is it not?

While the apparent bug with some peoples’ counters not resetting is unfortunate, it was already present in the previous patch.

I do want to say that moving the token rewards to the end was an excellent change. I’m glad that people who don’t deserve the gear by exploitative farming are no longer able to do so.

Only 1 person posted on the bug, others posted on design flaws, if you bothered to read.

To summarise the patch:

So, if I get into a group of 4 other people in a same guild (lets say Guild X), and we reach up to the last phase of a dungeon, say CoF path 2 (Magg) for easy reference.

Then those 4 people decide to kick me and invite another Guild X member to finish up the dungeon.

So I get nothing, and all 5 of them get full reward.

I would have thought more thought was given to this before implementation.
