I was about to start a topic about this, but it seems like I’m not alone. Tried three times, result is the same as the OP described.
One additional thing that might help figuring the bug out: after the first platform (when it gets stuck) when speaking to Trehearne, he responds with the end-of-mission line about meeting him back at Fort Trinity.
