Visual indicator of WVW queues

Hi,

I’ll keep it short as it’s a simple request.

Last night I queued for an hour and twenty minutes waiting to get into EB – Someone in my guild suggested “Maybe it’s bugged, try and re-queue”
I didn’t want to do that and risk losing my spot in the queue, how do I know if maybe I’m about to get a pop? It then got to the point where it was too late for me to re-queue anyway so I logged off having done nothing but stand around.

I was thinking about this, would it not be good to have some kind of visual indicator of your place in the queue? I don’t mean exact numbers, but maybe there could be some kind of bar that slowly descends as you get closer to entering the zone, this could be tucked away neatly in the WVW window, or even horizontally above your XP bar.

I don’t know how difficult that would be to code but I thought it was a good idea.

Thanks.

New Culling Trial (Ended)

….Guilds are not favored in the current system.

That’s ridiculous. I run WVW with my guild and there are normally only about 15 to 20 of us max, but on two occasions last night they completely vanished in front of me, yes it’s great that your party will never be affected by culling, but if you have just started a third of 4th group (IE only two in the party) and your guild get culled then you are screwed.

Either fix that or introduce Warbands (25 to 30 man groups) and have that “larger party” not be affected.

I really appreciate the work that Anet are putting in to fixing the issue, but I can speak for my guild when I say we all agree that the culling issue is much worse now than it was, enemy players are still be vanishing from sight and now guildies are too.

Thanks for the reply Solar,

Her GPU is a GT 260.

My CPU is just stock as you can see, but I have read it can be safely OC’d up to about 4.0mhz so I’m going to try and get it to around the 3.2 – 3.4 mark tonight and see what improvement that makes.

I appreciate your help.

I should add, I have tried running the game with all video options set low, and it makes little to no difference.

Hi guys,

I know there are loads of threads like this but really I hope you can help me.
My FPS is normally 30 to 40 when I’m wandering around in PVE, but can drop as low as 4FPS in WVW battles.

My friend has almost the exact same rig as me, same mobo, same ram, but an older graphics card and she consistently gets between 20 to 40 fps in the same fights.

I have tried the Nvidia optimization that is recommended in the stickied thread, my case is a Coolermaster HAF-X so I’m sure it’s not a cooling issue, and I’m using a wired connection to a 60mb Fibreoptic line.

Below are some specs from DXDIAG – I have updated my card to the latest drivers in the last couple of weeks.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: EX58-UD3R
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 6144MB RAM (DDR3)
Available OS Memory: 6142MB RAM
Page File: 2009MB used, 10273MB available

Display
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1201&SUBSYS_35271458&REV_A1
Display Memory: 3793 MB
Dedicated Memory: 978 MB
Shared Memory: 2815 MB
Current Mode: 1440 × 900 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I’m running Guildwars from an SSD and I think my PSU is 650w.

When I get home tonight I’m going to check what slots my RAM is in, because I read changing that can have a drastic affect on FPS – I would be willing to look at overclocking my CPU, but although I build my PC myself, I get really confused when it comes to calculating voltage, timings etc (maths isnt a strong point of mine)

So, aside from overclocking is there anything else I can try? Virus scans, Malware etc all come back clean and are done monthly.

I really would appreciate any help at all.

Many thanks.
