What’s up guys..

I’ve always been a thief player and always will be. I had quit the game a few months ago just to take break and have recently came back to the game in which I feel like a total noob because there are so many new things.

I’m typically a PvP player, so that is where I spend a majority of my time. I left the game with the S/P build but it seems to not be AS powerful anymore.

Anyone have any insight on what could potentially be the best builds for:
A: Having fun in random pugs
B: Tournament play

(Or if someone could link me to another topic with said build would be amazing!)

Didn’t realize, my bad :o

I’m not going to go out of my way to join a tournament team and get clips unless I actually do some on my own time. Obviously you cared about the video if you watched it.

If you didn’t need to watch it, why click it? It’s not meant for EVERYONE, lol.

Yeah two sword thieves can get pretty confusing :P – But it’s fun!

My main damage is my auto attack pretty much of course, lol. But my other abilities make my auto attack hit for more :o

I also didn’t go into FULL explanation about the build and how exactly you play that which I noticed.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than this?

Thank you. I agree, but I couldn’t find anyone above the average player to record in such a small time frame.

Hopefully in my next video I’ll include more skilled players.

I figured people based their builds off SPvP more than they did in WvW, but I understand where you are coming from.

I plan to include a variety, including BOTH SPvP and WvW in my next video if anyone is interested

But like you said, there’s different builds for different situations, it’s just a guess.

I can see why you don’t like the build though for WvW, it’s not AS good as other builds for sure.

I’ve changed to the Valk/Knight build. What exactly do I use on my weapons? Rune wise.

Sounds good, I’ll give it a try.

Everyone looks down upon the build I use whether it’s skilled or not, so it’s almost pointless in playing it trying to show it.

I suppose you’re right in most cases Dee Jay. I guess I forgot to mention in the title, “NOT the best build in the world” but I agree with some things you said.

When you say no one plays this build in WvW your wrong though, I’ve seen plenty if not a majority playing it just so they can get in, nuke, and get out.

Also, when you say there is no skill involved I have to disagree. Yeah there’s no skill if your a thief that just goes in and kills and gets killed, but it takes skill/quick reactions to be able to get back out after you’ve jumped into a group and taken out one of their members.

Thank you two for your constructive feedback. I agree with what both of you say, it’s kind of kitten to play against anyone who has a brain.

The only reason I play it because it’s quick, and every-time I’ve tried a different decent build, I always get over-numbered because I can’t kill my target quick enough.

I will try that Valk/knight build though you are talking about, seems interesting.

Like I mentioned, I understand this is a bread and butter build to many, but it’s just my playstyle.

I was playing a pistol/dagger build where I await my condition damage to do the deed, but I figured many such as myself would honestly get bored of the long drawn out and somewhat boring fights.

I get what you mean about every thief playing an INSTA gib build, but this my particular style of gameplay I like to play.
