Hey, welcome back! How about don’t start a Mesmer or Ele but continue your lvl 80 Necro? Necro got an awesome elite spec (Reaper), it’s fun to play and it also has the best survivability among light armor classes. I totally recommend Necro.

yeah well its been so long I just want that feeling back i had at start so though maybe it would help to lvl a new one ( + i dont have HoT yet ) so yeah its either Mesmer or Ele so far it will be Ele.

Pros:
+Valuable in almost every game mode
+Versatile
+Good active defense
+Great utility in cantrips
+Strong AoE on staff
+Basically farts out healing every other second
+Very strong at high level play
Cons:
-Worst base armor and hp
-Crappy Elite skills
-Mobility is less than it used to be
-Bland Elite Spec
-Weak autoattacks
-Long cooldowns
-Entire category of useless utilities (Arcane)
-High skill curve
-profession mechanic replaces weapon swap
Mesmer
Pros
+Ideal if you like misdirection
+Very strong (and a little cheesy) condition builds
+Valuable in WvW in small quantities
+Very good in PvP
+Lots of buffs
+Very cool elite spec
+Diverse kitten nal of utilities
+Mostly good weapons
Cons
-People will not respect you if you run condi mesmer in WvW
-Higher skill curve
-Very weak to conditions
-Sometimes extremely squishy
-PvE mobs tend to ignore your illusions and go after you
-Not for everyone

Hey all greetings, i’ve started this game at first when it came out for some time later after my necro dinged to 80 i didnt feel the game to play further so i took a break.
That break took more than a year, now ive see some HoT videos and i was like wauw maybe i should give it a try again.
Went back to GW2 site downloaded the client and started playing, but he like always when you take a break from a MMO you got this Class dilemma, so im hoping some of you can help me with some nice opinions.

Im thinking about a Mesmer or a Ele give me some Pro and Cons about those 2.
