Hello!

I’m Sabriel, aka Avasy or Nevi. One of the three founders of The Celestial Compass. I personally have quite the.. ‘unique’ sense of fun in this game. Loving the lore, silly little games like quaggan escort, and fashion wars to name a few. I helped create a new guild so that people can do.. the stranger things that they love, together!

Imagine, forum games and fashion contests. Lotteries and musical charades! But that’s what I love to do, and want to add to the guild. The other founders would say differently XD
Maybe you have some ideas of things that are fun in the game. Do you want to try doing it with a group of friends? That’s what we’re here for!

It’s a PvX guild with a light rp theme. We have our own guild lore too, having to do with the celestial compass item from gw1. And treasure. All the treasure >:}

There is so much I want to say about this guild. We’re just starting out right now and I’m excited to meet you!

To make rewards easier, we have a currency system called Crystals. You earn them by participating in events, and doing things on the forums. Using these crystals you can buy prizes in our little custom guild shop!

Another different thing we have are guild groups. They are entirely guild lore based, on the celestial compass itself. After you have been in the guild for a while – you can become Sunforged, Stargazer, or Moonweaver. Similar to the Harry Potter houses, if you’re a fan of that. Or Pokemon Go.
One last thing I want to mention (if I’m still holding your interest) is that the guild is ever-evolving. I’m willing to listen to ways the guild can improve and become better. After all, this is as much your guild as it is mine!

The Celestial Compass

How did it all begin?
It started out with Sabriel, Rex, and Some person who says dontmentionme daydreaming about how a guild could be run in a unique, fun way. What makes a guild successful? What is most important to us? Throwing ideas back and forth, they spent several weeks planning the foundation for The Celestial Compass.

What is Compass about?
The dream is to have a guild where everyone truly matters. From Founders to Outlanders, we are all playing Guild Wars 2 together as friends. One thing we do every week is guild meetings. Where we all come together (round table fashion) and discuss all sorts of things. That’s really what’s most important though. Doing things together.

Lore wise, The Celestial Compass is a treasure hunting guild. On the surface you might assume gold farmers. Think again! Compass is split into three lore groups inspired from an actual celestial compass: the Sunforged, Stargazers, and Moonweavers. The ones who love to loot treasure from enemies, revel in the accomplishment of their actions, and run around as a social butterfly.

What do we do?
Because we have no rep requirement, compass embraces people from every aspect of the game. We also very much encourage you to begin something! Get us excited about the newest jumping puzzle, meta maps, roleplay, pvp the list goes on!

We have a few weekly events at the moment, and are looking for people who are interested in leading more types of events too!

-Guild Missions every Sunday 3 hours before reset

-World Boss Tours every Tuesday half an hour after reset

-Movie Nights on Wednesdays 1 hour before reset

-Free Key Fridays which are black lion key runs 1 hour before reset

-Guild Meetings every Saturday 3 hours before reset

-Fun events such as Roleplay, Quaggan Escort, Darts, Hunting for hidden things in the guild hall, Screenshot Scavenger Hunts. Not to mention big planned out parties!

Any other information?
Yes. We have a unique currency system called Crystals. You can earn these by being active in the guild and doing things with us. We have our own little shop to spend Crystals too! We also have Gilded Hollow and Discord~

There are a lot of guilds out there, and sometimes they have a feeling of… coldness?
That moment when you feel like you’re just a number, and don’t matter. When you leave no one notices or cares. It’s a sad thing, and Guild Wars 2 has quite a bit of it. I have no idea why.

This feeling is what created Quill & Ink. Our leader, Jen, founded the guild based on us, the members. That’s what drew me in personally. The guild is Jen’s, and mine, and possibly yours too! There are no ‘elite domination ranks,’ only a progression system rewarding your dedication to the guild.

Speaking of rewards!
A bit unique to other guilds, we offer guild games and other fun activities. From balloon hunting in the guild hall, to quaggan escorts, to big festival parties! All of these run on a currency system we set in place very recently called Quill Coins. Earn them through participation and trade it in for fancy items later, or save them up and bask in your mountains of fortune like a dragon >:}

The coolest part is if you have an idea to do things within the guild.
Be it games or serious raids etc, you can! In fact, we encourage it. If you desire to become a part of a Team related to a content type (pvp,pve etc) you are welcome to step up! We need people that are willing to lead the guild in new directions.

I am the event girl in my guild (Quill & Ink) So we do lots of fun things like parties, balloon bounty, screenshot scavenger hunts, quaggan escorts.. the list goes on and on. Lol we turned the guild arena into a death trap maze too. For halloween we turned it into a Reaper Maze and everyone had to hide in the maze as our reaper picked people off one by one.

Oh and yeah we are NA and help people of course. I’ve joined many different guilds and this is the most family oriented one I’ve ever been in.

I’m looking for someone with no life to begin a guild with me. Someone casually lazy with a dsire for a close knit group. No life meaning no kids, you don’t work every day all day, and no constant college homework etc. someone loyal to GW2 and doesn’t plan on quitting any time soon. I need this for my first member, not necessarily every member afTer.

The guild will be small. We won’t just invite anyone, and will have auditions/applications for those who want to join. This is where you come in. I need someone to help me create the rules and foundations for our guild.

Remember that not everything is set in stone.
