ANET if you want to make more money, the right way is to make a good game, a good update/expansion, or simply put out more gems store items.
Not by dumbing down the exchange method in order to force players to buy more gems than needed.

And do you really think that “confused” new player will have so much gold to buy 400 gems straight? Giving the reason “helping confused player” just seems to be the worst lie ever.

Why not revert it while adding the option to quick exchange
Why am I forced to buy more than the amount I need

It happened to my warrior multiple time while I was doing the marionette fight. I was unable to use any skill and had to re-log, taking the risk that I’ll be put into an overflow. Luckily I was able to join into the main flow through my party member. But I get no credit for the event, which means no chest, no reward. This is really frustrating. Hope anet could solve this problem
