All i can say is that they are to d*mn expensive.. sure i bought a set 2700 gems = 33 Euro.. thats insane.
Yeahh yeaahh .. then don’t buy them wah wah.. just think they should be cheaper.
1500 gems would be moarr then enough.. it would even tempt me to slowly get them on 5 other chars.
Now i will NOT pay 2700 again.. didn’t need the unbound that much anyway, have like 15k winterberries rotting in bank.
They want you to get matching shared inventory slots, silly. ^^
In the last chapter Taimi was the same size of my female asura engie.
I’ll never get why people create super tiny characters just like I will never understand why many create gigantic ones (although I can imagine the latter being for RL compensation of sorts).
I think it’s easier in jumping puzzles when less of the character model is obscuring the screen… And I feel a little insulted, I even put a bloodstone crown on my tall norn to make her even taller! :’D
I get that you have a personal preference (with strong reasons). That doesn’t mean that ANet should impose that preference on its players, who have different preferences.
Yes, I agree. Just adding my two cents to the discussion.
And at any rate, it’s too late now. :P
But for immersion it would be better if everyone had a first name and a last name
Zojja & Trahearne would like a word with you.
Haha yes, I realize that for lore reasons, Asura and Sylvari don’t have last names. That’s also a decision made by Arenanet; they could have easily introduced them with last names. Sylvari could have floral-based last names, or last names that refer to the cycle they were born in, or to the purpose of their wyld hunt. Asura could be named after inventions, achievements, their areas of expertise. I think this would have improved the game.
I think they made a mistake by allowing GW2 names to consist on only one word. Of course everyone wants a short name now. But for immersion it would be better if everyone had a first name and a last name so people wouldn’t have to come up with atrocious “creative” names or resort to adding áccënts (like – I must admit – I do).
I like giving my characters similar names because I have a lot of alts and I want to be recognizable in guild chat. You can do this by giving them the same first or last name. But let’s be honest, having a character called Saeri is much cooler than having a character called Saeri Desne. So naturally you want to get that cool short name… I don’t understand why they gave us this option.
Feel bad about using it as an exploit, but it worked! Thanks again!
Hey, thanks for your reply! Don’t know why I wasn’t able to find that one… I will try to use the workaround suggested in that thread (to at least progress the story).
Excited to finally be done with this one.
Hey, returning player here who’s catching up on the living story. When I am doing Into the Labyrinth, as soon as the final fight starts, all my allies stop attacking and just follow me around. They will also not resurrect me when I am downed. Is this a known bug? (I can’t find it anywhere), and if so, is there some kind of workaround to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
But if they don’t whine, you can’t whine about them, and then I couldn’t have written this post about you whining about their whining. So in the end everybody loses.
(And, a disable option? So if someone does something that is offensive to you, you just tune them out and despite you knowing this is happening, you really, honestly aren’t going to care?)
This’ll all blow over and we will get to whine about more important stuff (like SAB).
That’s a great plan! Maybe we can also do that for dungeons, to reduce server strain. And maybe when your character wants to enter a new area, there can be like a toll booth system. That’s way more immersive! I can’t wait for these kinds of fun upgrades to this game!
Right. Arenanet, please fix these traits. I have one level 80 and I have to mess around with all these trait things, and it is very confusing and adds all these elements to my playstyle. I feel like I have to invest in creating a balanced build or whatever. Luckily I have six alts who are under level 30 and with them I don’t hate to bother with any of that stuff. Keeps it simple. I hate to think. I just want to press 12345, F, move on.
Just remove these traits all together, because this is a really lame attempt at it. While you’re at it, could you change the game so that you don’t unlock any of your weapon skills except for the 1st one until you are level 75? That way I could just press 1 all the time and that’d be even better. Woah, I am so excited. I just know you guys will read this and implement it as soon as you can. Kisses to you all!
The conversion rate is insane. A few days ago I was able to make my level 20’s look cool for the cost of 6 transmutation stones per outfit, today I have to pay 18 stones. I have a bunch of level 20 alts and I waited for this wardrobe system because I thought it would be easier (and it is). I love knowing what it’ll look like beforehand, but that really isn’t worth the cost of 12 extra stones per character.
Can’t it be 1/3rd of a transmutation charge to transmutate gear under level 80? I can’t see how it isn’t implemented like this, I certainly did not expect this. Makes no sense at all to me.
Oh, I just located the source of this evil. It apparently was an old multiboot program for GW1, (GWxInf). Didn’t realize it was even on my computer anymore.
And thank you for your replies. I guess you’re right. These people will always find new ways to get into accounts anyhow I suppose.
Hey!
I realize I’m stealing someone’s precious time, but I’d just really like to know about this: this morning when I checked my e-mail I had four unauthorized login attempts from China. I realize someone has my password, and that I should change it, etc, but I was just wondering what happens to these IP’s: do they get banned?
I also received an e-mail from Facebook saying I was subscribed to a website called Guildwars2betakey, and that they now have a Facebook page and that they suggested I like that too. I don’t know if these two things are related, but it just seemed a little odd. There’s probably a bunch of these scams out there, I don’t know if Arenanet wants to know about them to actively shut it down, but just mentioning it just in case. (https://www.facebook.com/Guildwars2betakeygen)
Thanks!
I don’t understand how this is not in the game, but I couldn’t find out how to do it, so here it goes:
Why can I see “fallen players” on my minimap, but can’t I communicate with them to tell them that I’m on my way to help them. Seeing players who need help on your minimap is such a wonderful feature, it really promotes helping people out. But you can never tell if someone’s coming to help you, so most of the time, you just use a waypoint.
For example, I saw a defeated player on my map, he was at a skill challenge, the closest waypoint being pretty far away. I decided to go help him since he wasn’t that far away from me, but when I was halfway there this person was already gone.
I would like it if we were able to click on the little icon that appears on our map to let people know that someone’s coming to help them. Obviously, it’s still for them to decide if they want to wait for that person to show up or if they just want to use a waypoint. In this example, I could have revived the person, we could have done the skill challenge together and life would have been perfect.
So… just a click on the icon in your minimap and text appears in this player’s screen: “Hang in there [playername] is on their way to help you!” or whatever. (This way they can also whisper this person if they do not wish to be helped)
So I just wanted to report this bug… I got stuck in Ratatosk after mining the rich iron vein there and battling spiders simultaneously. I don’t know which one caused me to get stuck behind an invisible wall.
This happened a few days ago. Today I logged back on and I was still stuck, so relogging doesn’t solve it. I’m actually able to walk for a bit and stand in the air, and sometimes the screen turns blue.
I guess it is not a big deal, but it is annoying, so just though I’d report it here.
