Fused Gauntlets are still in chests for now, the new back pieces are not.
Please consider doing another more permanent way of getting them, since some of us are incredibly unlucky.
Will the new backpieces be obtainable in PvP at some point? I was very dissapointed when the backpieces were not Skin Tokens, but if there is another way to get them in PvP i suppose that is ok.

You could just convert the skin to PvP.

I’ve opened well over 200 chests and didn’t get any. Is there a specific reason that these PvP rewards are RNG chest drops? I thought it was a terrible idea for the halloween skins (crossing, arachnophobia, mad moon)as well. Make a super crit in the mystic forge, or make it so if you play X amount of pvp games or tournaments you get them, or even put the kitten skin in the gem store. Anything but RNG. Make it 100 slivers + glove tokens, anything but RNG.
The only reward for PvPing is skins, and when players get kittened over by RNG on one time only skins, no one feels to great about that.
Sliver + Glove Token + Paid Token + 10 Arcane Powder + Super Super Crit in Forge = Fused Gauntlets.
Another option would to be make the one time only PvP skins non account bound so they can be traded between players or even sold on the trading post. I personally have 3 PvP Crossings, and would love to give some of them to my friends who didn’t get that particular skin.
