I completely agree on that. Right now reaching ruby only means that you’ve played a lot. Think about scenario where a player soloqueues and is getting (by luck) carried by his teammate to a win. He goes up in the division but skillwise he shouldn’t belong there. Usually with a loss he should be brought back to his tier or should be kept in his division. right now this is not happening.
Another Problem: People farming pips on stronghold. I think most will agree that playing stronghold is basically just playing pve. Pushing doorbreakers and killing lord.
I’ve seen a lot of players which basically use this gamemode to farm pips. by this they are in a high division.
As soon as they enter conquest mode they are in lets say ruby aswell. but skillwise they might not be. This might lead to a loss for the team.
Being able to loose divisions might solve this problem.
Thanks for the feedback. Well, it was my intention to inform about these tournaments. I also didn’t know these tournaments exist until a few month back. This evening or maybe tomorrow I might be able to do a reddit post. Maybe not only about AG but a post where every community can write down upcoming events in the comments or so… As soon as done so, I will post the reddit link here aswell.

Since I haven’t seen a post about this, I’d like to shout out a tournament hosted by Academy Gaming. I have to say, I’m no part of Academy Gaming but I really like the work they are doing.
In the past AG hosted some nice 5v5premade tournaments but intrest by the community became less. I’ve attended some tournaments by them and they put a great effort into this.
After a break they wanted to get these 5v5-premade tournaments going again but there wasn’t a lot of response so they came up with an other tournament-mode.
You can join the tournament either solo or with a friend and they but you together into a team with five players. The concept isn’t a new one. There were tournaments like this hosted by aspect.gg called “Pugquest”.

We all have the same problems with the matchmaking etc. I think the Nubquest is another great opportunity to enjoy PvP and get to know some new players aswell. And on top of it you can win some gems.

Hey this was happening to us yesterday constantly, you will be stucked in lobby for about 3-5min with “Match is in progress” typed at the top of your screen and then you will be able to queue again. It’s still very annoying and it happens every third match when I am queing in premade team. I hope they will fix it soon.
I’ve had the same issue with my team. It happened, when we were queing as a guild team. with a normal premade team it didn’t occur.

I was just in a team with my guildies and one of my teammates got a dc during match. At this point we were winning 300-15. He got back in the match and continued to play. At the end we’ve won. He didn’t get any pips. Instead he got 15 Minutes dishonor.
@Anet: Pls reconsider this. Maybe think about a rating system at the end where teammate/players rate each others for example. Then it will also be easier to differentiate between afk and dc…
in addition to this can you add a “report player for intentionally afk” function.
