LFG tool is simply amazing. I’d prefer ANet not to add any more filter option. People who wants to filter casual players can go somewhere else to find their kind of players but for average players it is perfect.
To give an example, I could never find lvl1 fractal group. Without LFG tool I’d be waiting hours even days to find a group. With LFG, I was able to find a group in less than a minute during morning server time and not only that we did level 1 to 3 at stretch without any problem. People were so helpful and understanding. I was also able to find story mode dungeon group who did not curse for not skipping cutscene.
LFG tool is designed for such players and should be kept as it is. One of the reasons I quit GW2 was because of difficulty in finding casual players to do contents with. Now I can stick around because of LFG tool
You know during gw1 days we didn’t have to go to some 3rd party site. Infos and tips like these would be updated faster than Dulfy’s site in official gw1 wiki. Dedicated players would update wiki with relevant info asap. I used be surprised with the effort that gw1 players would put into it. I have never seen any other official game wiki as well crafted as gw1.
Hi, I’m a returning player. Started from beta, was off for 6+ months. Been playing for a month now. I’m from +5.5GMT. My playtime usually starts around 7AM server time on weekdays for around 3-4 hours. On weekends, I’m on pretty much entire day from 7AM to 10PM (of course I take some kitchen break)
Since my play time is totally opposite of usual time, I can’t find any guild that does guild activity around my play time on weekdays. Weekend it’s cool since I’m on pretty much all the time.
I want to do things with other people. Dungeons, Guild content, WvWvW etc. One of the reasons I left is because I could not find people to play with. World felt empty (it still does). Why would I play a MMO alone? I’d rather play an offline RPG if I wanted to play alone. Currently I spend most of my time in WvWvW since I can hop on a train and play with lots of people. It’s fun.
I’m 30 and looking for mature guild. I’m shy but won’t mind going on TS if people are friendly.
I’m ready to change server if I find what I’m looking for.
It’s very helpful, don’t have to keep looking at watch or flipping settings to check server time. I’m sure it’s a very small thing to implement.
Thanks!
I was doing the meta event then got DC’ed and when i finally manged to get into the overflow server (to join my friend), event was over (about a minute earlier) but I could see the chest. So I ran for it and by the time I reached to chest and about to touch it, it just vanished! I was 2 seconds late.
Why there is a timer for chest loot? Even if you guys want to put a timer make it long enough. It seems that loot timer for the chest is less than 2 minutes. Seriously? It’s a poor design decision.
Why not make it so if someone fails to loot on time, make it appear at bottom right of the screen like daily chest. I feel like a sad panda.
Or just type “My IP” in Google. Google will tell you.
