I’ll start off by saying that the design and basic effects for the new legendarys are way beyond Gen 1. I think you guys did a fantastic job in this respect and they really feel epic to hold. At least in the case of HOPE. I spent a lot of effort making HOPE, and for the most part I feel rewarded.

That being said, I have some problems with the legendaries. Especially as an Engineer:

For one, the arm effects don’t seem to carry over to kits. For instance the electricity for HOPE. In-fact, none of the awesome effects do. There is no awesome grenade barrage of awesome lasers or a cool flame thrower shooting electric energized fire. At the very least, it would be nice if the arm effects carried over.

Secondly, even the main attacks feel half cooked. For instance, the 4 and 5 don’t even change effects or sounds! And the 1 auto-attack still explodes into fire for some reason which seems completely out of place.

Lastly, legendary effects on my character aren’t being prioritized over other things when playing with more than 10 characters. My arm effects slowly start hiding themselves and it’s annoying as hell. I don’t want to have to play at 10 fps to be able to see my arm effects AND everyone elses.

I was hoping that this new generation of legendarys would herald a new era of really feature complete legendarys considering they require quite a bit more effort to create. If you really went “all out” with the skill effects people would want to make them way more, especially engineers who are in their kits most of the time. This would benefit all sides!

Please reconsider how much time is devoted to the Gen 2 legendarys before you continue on with making the rest.

HOPE 4

I assume this is an oversight but the champ risen wraith(Risen crystalline phial) requires you fail two major events in Malchors Leap to spawn. People will not co-operate and it makes sense. Who’s going to listen when you’re telling them to fail events. Not to mention it says the cathedral is in Cursed Shore. Which it isn’t.

Also the spell trap requires more things to complete than are in the collection, Karka Queen’s magic doesn’t seem to get trapped by it either. And there is an event chain in Iron marches that needs to be completed to kill a champ branded devourer but it bugs almost every time from my experience. The guy just hangs around at Brandwatch Encampment.
