Do CoF1 daily with my guild, takes around 15 minutes or so with 2 guardians, warrior, ranger, and one random (usually ele, thief, or second ranger).

I’ve never seen random notes like that floating in the air, but have seen them from time to time while fighting the Dredge, I just assumed it was some sort of animation to illustrate their “sonic” weapon attack.

I dunno, my guild ran three dungeons last night, HOTW path 1, TA up path, and took three new members through CM Story. Personally I thought it was much easier than before, all of the bosses/silver mobs seemed to do less damage, and died faster than before. We only had 2-3 deaths out of all three runs (the new people in CM) and it didn’t seem to effect the group much, we just finished the boss and rezzed the dead players after the fight. I was initially worried that the patch might make dungeons too difficult for the average player, but it seems to me (so far at least) that they may be a bit too easy now.

My guild is mostly made up of what you would call “Average Joe” players. Some are above average, others are terribad. Usually our first trip through a dungeon (except most story modes, which are fairly easy) is kinda painful with at least one wipe and numerous deaths. The second trip through usually goes much better, by the third or fourth trip, everyone usually has all the boss mechanics down, knows the little tricks to make it go easier, etc. My advise to those having difficulty is to study up on the dungeon first, watch a few videos, read a few walkthroughs, get to know the encounters and what is coming before you even get there. Voice communication is another key, if you aren’t using it, you are going to have a harder time. Finally practice makes perfect. Each additional run through a dungeon should be easier than the one before, unless you are teaching a new guild member who has never been there before. Also as mentioned above, try to spec more towards defensive armors/traits as well as condition removal over raw DPS. Hope this helps.

[SOA] is a small but very tight-knit guild. We do numerous Dungeon/Fractal runs weekly, as well as a lot of other group PVE, and occasionally WvW. We are looking for more players who are active during the evenings and on weekends US Eastern and Central times, and meet the following requirements.

Working Mic/Headset: We use ventrilo to communicate, if you don’t have it you will miss out on 95% of what is going on.

Maturity: All of us are 35+, we don’t have a set age requirement, as long as you can act in a mature, drama free manner. That being said, we do drink, or act stupid from time to time ourselves.

Frequent Player: 90% of our members are daily players, we don’t expect you to be on all the time/every day, but would like to see you more than once or twice a week.

Team Player: 90% of what we do involves grouping, if you are a solo player, or don’t work well with others look elsewhere.

Active Evenings and Weekends EST: Most of us have normal dayshift jobs, so not many on during the daytime (weekdays). However most of us are on every night, and most days on weekends. If you play outside these hours you won’t see many people on.

Fun > Winning: We are all working adults and have enough stress in our lives, we play for fun and to relax. If a dungeon/fractal run goes south and we end up wiping multiple times, we don’t get bent out of shape over it, and neither should you.

Willing to transfer to Blackgate: Despite the implementation of guesting, we still do group WvW from time to time, so we would prefer that you move to our sever. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.

My wife and I have identical computers and graphic settings, her zones load almost instantly, while mine take up to 30 seconds or longer for busy places like Lions Arch, dunno why, but has always been that way in GW2. Never noticed anything like it in other games we have played.

Group of four long time friends looking for a fifth member mainly for a static dungeon party, but is welcome to join us in any of our other group endeavors.

Our ideal member would be willing to use Ventrilo to communicate, be active during evenings/nights/weekends (Eastern/Central US time), be on the Blackgate Server (or willing to transfer), be mature and drama free (we are all 35+, don’t care how old you are, as long as you can act like an adult.), and most importantly, be a team player.

We prefer fresh level 80’s or those approaching 80, and/or those totally new to dungeons as we have yet to run many ourselves, and would prefer to share the learning experience with someone new rather than have an experienced dungeon runner hold our hand and tell us what to do.

Yeah you can get it pretty easily in Fireheart Rise, got an entire set for my Guardian in under two hours.

My wife and I are looking for a new home. We both have years of MMO experience and work well with groups. We have tried to set up our own guild, but due to my RL work schedule I don’t have enough free time to properly run a guild and enjoy the game, so here is a list of what we are looking for in potential guilds:

• Small to Medium sized 20-100 active players. We want to be part of a group that works together, not just a number or mindless cog in the machine.

• Frequent Organized WvW, PvP Tournament, and Dungeon Groups. We don’t need these 24/7 but having them available 2-3 days a week during prime time would be nice.

• Voice Comms. Don’t care if it’s Ventrilo, Team Speak, Mumble or whatever, but your guild must use voice comms for organized events.

• Friendly Social Atmosphere. Guild chat/voice comms does not need to roll 24/7 but would be nice if other members actually used it once in a while just to chat.

• EST Guild On Blackgate. We mostly play during the evenings and all day on weekends (depending on my work schedule). We have been on Blackgate since the beginning and would like to stay here if possible.

After a brief hiatus Sigil of Ascalon [SOA] is back and looking for new members.

The purpose of the guild is to create a small to medium sized community that works well as a group in order to run highly organized WvW roaming gangs, PvP Tournament Teams, and effective Dungeon groups.

All play-styles, races, and classes are welcome, as well as new players (we love to mentor new players!) and seasoned veterans. We are mostly an East Coast guild that mainly plays in the evenings (other times subject to work schedules), and are currently looking for Officers and Recruiters in addition to regular members.

The Sigil of Ascalon (SOA) is led by a husband and wife team with long term guild leadership experience, we have run very successful guilds in many MMO’s including Lineage 2, Pefect World, Bounty Bay Online, and Fallen Earth.

SOA is currently a PvX guild where any play-style is allowed, and you will never be forced into doing activities that do not interest you. We do however, plan to focus more on WvW and PvP as our numbers grow and our player base becomes more experienced. Please note that although we intend to focus on WvW and PvP, Crafters and pure PvE players are still welcome to join, as we will have regular guild activities outside PvP for them to participate in.

We currently use Dolby Axon for voice coms (it’s free to use), and will upgrade to a Ventrilo/Team Speak/Mumble server when our membership grows. Use of Voice coms is mandatory for all group activities (PvP, WvW, Dungeons, and Raids).

SOA has no age requirement to join, so long as you can conduct yourself in a mature manner. Immaturity, Whining, Begging, Flaming or Griefing (members of this guild) will result in a kick of the offending player.
