Well got through that… what a PITA.
Well I see that I have done something right. Every time a red circle surrounds me I boogy
out of it. That has cut down on the dying and damage a lot.
I have not seen any Veterans, at least on the left flank beach head nor a Captain down. I guess next time I will have to run to the right flank beachhead.
I usually clear the wall first and have not seen much activity in the courtyard but have taken out whatever is there.
Still confused why the artillery is not used as once the wall is cleared usually at least have of the guns are still useable.
Sure wish the objectives were better stated in the preliminary yak fests.
Has anyone figured out what the Trebuchets are supposed to be for? I can never seem to hit anything or if I do apparently no damage is done regardless of how or what I aim at.
Well, I do not feel so alone now. I have the same problems with buttons so basically I just use the four arrow buttons on my computer a reprogrammed Right Control button and my mouse to select weapon attacks. I must be doing something right as I have reached Level 80 as a Ranger with a big sword and big longbow.
No not very inventive or skilled just dogged. Which is another reason to play as a Ranger (the middle type whatever that is called) since I have a pet and I have noticed that they seem to attract a lot of enemy activity that is then NOT directed at me. Of course I do have to change pets in melees. For ground action I tend to use the sword but have found that for most of the aerial activity the bow is best and BEFORE closing with to sword range I try to get an arrow barrage and and that 10 shot fast firing arrow set on the way..
Hope that helps some.
Not being an Acronym Linguist all those abbreviations go ‘’’ WOOOSH, right over my head.
Is there a dictionary that covers anything more complicated than ANet for Arena Net?
Reading these posts I sometimes feel like a an Air Force puke at a Navy Admirals convention — CINCPAC, FltCom, etc. LOL when I am only a broke down Army SGT.
RAWR.4273 I was not aware you could party up at all in the personal story line. Also the
world situation might conflict. I am in NA Ferguson’s Crossing. My daughter and I had some problems along with our roommate when we found out we were in three different worlds and two different servers. We got that straightened out but is was confusing until then for sure. Grin.
Appreciate the help offer but I am going to have to take a break for several hours as it is almost dinner time here. I will probably be back on later and/or tomorrow but may not come back to Personal Story until I decompress a bit.
MarkusParkus.8467 TKY for the offer but I am NA in Feguson’s Crossing.
Rangers can use both Long and Short bows though why a Ranger would use a short bow is beyond me. Cavalry or Mounted Infantry makes sense for a short bow.
As to pets… A Ranger can carry two pets just not both active. Keeping an eye on the active one and swapping out before it dies is a skill choice that can be very useful when done right.
The main complaint I have regarding pets is I am a level 80 and still have a Juvenile Pet. That is like running around with an Armored Personnel Carrier armed with a
sling shot. The pets should Level Up with the character.
I know you do when you leave on purpose. That only seems to apply to the immediate mission you are on NOT the whole story line from the git go though.
I have run this 3 times now and seem to last longer with less and less respawning and even some NPC help other than the two that come in with me.
Still get whacked down to NO Armor after an hour or so. I never seem to be able to
clean out the large area in front of the cannons which never seemed to be manned, even those NOT destroyed in the beginning of the attack.
I am probably doing something simple wrong.
Suggestions, please.
Olba.5376 Let me repeat what I think you said:
1. REGARDLESS of what the enhancement says there is ONLY ONE enhacement per item. They do NOT stack on the same item.
2. You must use (for example) Two Minor Runes of Lyssa to get both enhancements
BUT one would go on the Boots and the other on the Coat.
3. For a six item Rune you would need one for each item of clothing to get all the
enhancements.
Is that correct?
IndigoSundown gave a great answer to how you add extra enhancements to those Runes, etc that have extra grayed out slots.
You buy extras of the same item and overlay them.
I tried to do that. Bought some and …. the new add on erased the old one and I still had
only one instead of both enhancements showing.
Obviously there is a way to do what I tried to do but I did NOT do it properly. So how do you add the second, third, etc Rune to an item?
Thanks. I appreciate the cogent answer.
You have these enhancements in Sigils, Runes, Seals, Crystals, Stones, etc that you can add to weapons and armor and such. Most are simple, you get ONE set of enhancements. Others have from 2 to 5 additional enhancement(s) that are greyed out and a statement like “1 or 2” or what ever. How do you activate the additional enhancements?
ALSO — What is the significance of the various colours for the basic enhancements on these items? I have stuck with solid green for uniformity but do not know if that is good, bad or indifferent.
Don’t mean to sound like a rookie but even as a Level 80 Ranger I have lots to learn
about this game.
