I reopened the ticket hoping to get some clarification, my bank still tells me the payment has went through. I’m really hoping that 100$ isn’t stuck out in limbo and I just have to suck it up and take a loss

So I purchased the game yesterday morning and it gave me a payment error, but out of curiosity I decided to go check my bank account and seen I had the charge for the game, I put in a ticket after a few hours thinking maybe it takes some time to apply. Well after waiting I called my bank and asked if the charge was stuck in processing, they told me it went through, I got a reply from ANET saying the payment was denied. checked my bank account again and seen the payment was gone and I was refunded, so i reply back and thank the GM for the help and go on about my day, but this morning i check my bank account today for another purchase I made on FFXIV and seen i was again charged for HoT.
Is anyone else having this problem? Or maybe I’m freaking out over nothing and it takes a couple of days for it to be corrected? I dunno.
atm i am pretty casual, I’ve come from games like WoW and FFXIV so the combat and gameplay style of GW2 is still pretty fresh to me, but so far i’ve found the LB and GS to be my favorite combo, so i plan on working my (insert here) off untill I can get down the play style perfectly.
I was really not expecting to see so many replies to my thread today O.o wow. I know how alot of you feel. I’ve tried bearbow zerker and I honestly hate the berserker armor because a small breeze is enough to drop me. what gear besides zerker would be better for more survivability?
Thank you! I’ll give it a shot and see how it works out.
As the title says I’m looking for a LB+GS build. I’m very fond of the longbow and love using the greatsword, my only problem is I’m horrible at making builds. I’ve had the game since release, but haven’t played it enough to really get a good feel so I’m extremely horrible at making builds atm.
Can anyone help me out with a build to point me in the right direction? I’m looking for something to help support a small roaming group but with some survival in case i get caught by myself. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I’ve tried to come back to this game, i really want to get into this game but it just seems so boring. I’ve managed to get my engineer to 80 but that’s only because i was playing with friends. this games dungeons are extremely boring, they’re fun that first time or 2 but after that it seems like a chore.
The jumping puzzles were the only thing to keep you thinking, but that’s kinda faded away in my opinion.
Events seem to be boring especially if you feel like you have to do them.
The leveling in this game could have been shortened In my opinion, starting a game off with 80 levels is a bit much. I would have been okay with 40-60. After 40 the game just seems to turn into a huge grind with nothing really keeping you going other than guild fun.
The game really needs endgame in my opinion. it would really help this game out, having nothing but dungeons to run for cosmetic purposes, or just WvW to do after you cap level gets old very very fast. Fractals don’t really seem to cut it, i feel like I’m just doing a copy of scenarios on WoW.
The only thing to keep people interested is the PVP, while still needing a bit of balancing changes its the only thing that seems interesting but only because its focused around skill. WvW doesn’t count because you will quickly notice that the bigger zerg wins no skill involved really because all you really have to do is spam AoE.
I really like these ideas. I’ts balanced and well thought out and would make me enjoy my turrets that much more.

Thank you! I will definately have to look into those.
I haven’t played GW2 for a little over 5 months now, i quit back around when it first came out to go back and play WoW with my huge guild, now that they have disbanded sadly I decided to come back and give GW2 another shot.
The Engineer has always been my favorite class because of the style they use, the lore behind them and because i just like rocking a Charr Iron Legion engineer. When I did play I couldn’t find a turret build and I have always seen engineers as a turret master, healing your turrets and watching them decimate everything that comes your way. All I see are grenade and bomb builds though, are there any good turret builds? Are the Turrets even viable in PVE or PVP?
I greatly appreciate the criticism and feedback in my suggestion. As a reply to Adine, a crossbow would be a nice addition as well
This has been getting at me ever since i started my glorious Engineer, while not high in level I have enjoyed playing him since day one of release. The Engineer is an amazing class with its flaws both in pvp and pve, but every class has its flaws and advantages.
Now I do understand quite well that what we lack in weapons we make up for in utilities like turrets and elixirs and so on. When we think Engineer I know the first thing that comes to mind is an intelligent individual using the latest technology at their advantage, but I would love to suggest giving the Engineer the ability to use long bows. While bows may not seem like the pinnacle of technology in the guild wars universe, but give it to an engineer and they can do lots of interesting things such as
1: Explosive Arrow – Similar to the explosive shot of the pistol a good change for it would be to make it fire slower than the pistol but have a larger blast radius and do slightly more damage to make up for the slow fire
2: Storm Shot – An arrow rigged with electrical devices when shot up into the air releases high volts of electricity downwards in an AOE. This ability can act as a snare or a slow effect with moderate air damage. This ability can be combined to give other ranged attacks an electrical modifier to their attacks.
3: Blinding Arrow – An arrow designed to confuse and make the target lose control for a short period of time. Should have a long cooldown so as not to be seen as an “IWIN” button.
4: Shrapnel – An arrow that hits the target designed to explode into shrapnel hitting all targets within a small radius.
5: Grappling shot/Magnetic arrow – Fires an arrow to a target location on the ground pulling either 1 or more targets to said location.
Feedback is welcome. I tried to think of abilities that were as balanced as possible, and I understand that some abilities may seem like clones of others, but it would be nice to see engineers use bows in my honest opinion.
