[Focus5] chills (underrated condition) slows the enemy and doubles the time for their skill recharge and endurance for dodging. plus the skill removes all boons from the enemy, dealing more damage the more boons it removes, I usually use this if an enemy tries to run away (slowing them), or escapes the well of corruption and manages to add more boons to themselves, (silly idea around a necro)
staff skills are used more defensively than offensively.
[Staff1] pretty slow attack speed, but damage aint too bad if you “have” to use it for an enemy in the distance
[Staff2] gives 6 seconds of regen with this build, while having a 6 second cooldown (regen’s allies)
[Staff3] chill’s main focus here is to slow down enemies and keep them in the area you’re about to drop wells on
[Staff4] transfers conditions from you and your allies onto enemies, i usually use this when [well of power] is on cooldown, or if allies around me are suffering from conditions, deals a good amount of base damage for a mark too
[Staff5] fear speaks for itself, just keeps people away and mostly saves allies when they’re about to get stomped in pvp, very handy
Since the traits in this build are generous towards wells, its a good idea to fill up your skill bar with:
[Skill6] Consume conditions for pvp (condition removal) and well of blood for pve (heals allies and yourself after the initial heal
[Skill7] [well of suffering] stacks 10 vuln, and does wicked AOE dmg,
[skill8] [well of corruption] turns the enemies boons into conditions, a must have for pvp (swap out for [well of darkness] to cause blind in dungeons)
[skill9] [well of power] each pulse gives you boons in place of the conditions you may have on you, a must have at all times.
In sync with these effects, all your wells also damage enemies, siphon health, and heal you and allies with every pulse.
[elite skill] i choose too use plague form for the elite skill, its good to ctrl-click skill 2 or 3 for autoattack when you’re outnumbered and inflict blind or weakness to enemies while your wells, retal (or allies) do all the work taking the enemies down, Deathshroud is also another “get outta trouble-survive a little longer” skill that’s good to keep as a backup if things aren’t going your way.
This build works, it just does, there may be similar builds out there, but this is what I’ve found and settled with over countless times tweaking traits and gear trying to find what feels good, with a little practice you will get it down to an art, and every foe will fear you, even when outnumbered, i’ll try throw up a video of some spvp and the way i use the skills and in which order to do things if there’s any interest.
all question’s and criticism are welcome, and please let me know if I’ve left anything out.
try it. they’ll be sorry. you won’t
