Hey I recently got Deathly shoulderparts skin for my shoulders that I really love to have, but at the moment the skin doesn’t look at all since I wear as main armor the one from CoF. As dye I use the abyss one.
Now here’s the question:
What you think as an armor combines well in looks with the deathly shoulderparts (in abyss dye)? Is there any kind of program or site that I can check the skins of an armor but with the desired dye? I’ve checked some but they use random dyes which don’t show well how the armor is.

The thing is that this lag happens even before the patch…like someone else said, since Sunday or so… I don’t know what’s wrong but prime time is unplayable at the moment.
Please Anet take a look at it.

Since a few days ago the server (seafarer’s Rest) is very laggy in any aspect of the game, pve or pvp, especially the prime time. This is not only happening to me or to my country players but also to other people from other countries.
Anyone else facing the same problem? Any explanation of this?

@ Faunus: As I said, real respect is gained and this goes both ways for us and for you. And it’s not gained here but in game. I know your story, and I respect it… you (not you personally), on the other hand, never respect ours and keep blaming us for many things when you lose… that’s what I don’t like and stated here.
@ GrandMenchantLoup: As I said to Faunus, I don’t beg for fame or respect…this is gained. I really wonder where you saw that. I’m mostly nice and flaming was never my style in any mmo game/community. I just don’t like some things that you say (meaning your server) and I stated them. You twisting my words (or even worse my flames) instead of making your own statement shows more about how shallow you are.
I keep saying that VS is the most consistent server we have ever faced and anyone that denies that is not right in my eyes. It’s hard to beat you, we try, sometimes we manage it, sometimes we don’t. The reasons… many. Most stated here and there in this thread.
About current week, it’s kinda obvious that you will be the winner and gratz to you. You showed really consistent and willingness to get back your spot to Rank 1. But be sure that we will keep playing, trying to face you and deny you that in the fields.

Firstly, T1 is not Rank 1 in EU Ladder….maybe you should read all the post before you try to answer…. as it clearly shows you didn’t. Inside it I said clearly “win or lose, we will be there to face you”.
Secondly, we are here for 4 weeks with the current one, and hopefully we going for 5th… i think that shows a bit of our dedication.
My last , kinda flaming (and sorry for that), comment was because most of the VS posts over here shows a bit of arrogance and not good sportsmanship. None of you congratulate us for winning our very 1st rank spot in EU Ladder… shows abit of spoiled kids losing. You always find something to QQ about when you lose but when you win, it because of your skills. A bit of being modest is not bad from time to time, maybe you should try it and then you’ll see how real respect is gained.
In my opinion, most of our guilds will not be dissappointed for losing a week, at least the core guilds of our server. We prefer to look for the long run and not be shooting stars, and I think that’s what we will try to, fail or not time will tell… or maybe i should caps it for you since you find it hard to see those comments that matter and focus only on the flaming comments… FAIL OR NOT, TIME WILL TELL.

P.S.: Sorry for the slow reply… I was away this weekend getting wasted at my resort house with a couple of my friends. It makes me wonder where were you, I bet in front of your pc replying, eh?

It’s really futile to try to reason the illogical people. One thing is a fact. Everyone sees the truth by his own eyes and only by those.

For some winning is everything. But winning has many definitions of the term. Winning for most is what the numbers say at the end of the WvWvW week.. For others is the collection of bags they have behind a t3 door using 15+ sieges to defend.. For others is the open fights, the tactics of mass pvping and who will stand alive after a huge fight like this.

I for example, I care more about the last part, although I admit that seeing my effort in fighting being rewarded with the weekly win, is a very nice bonus. But I wouldn’t be happy if, for example, I would lose every single open fight, be afraid of going out to stand my ground, and lose even with more numbers on my side BUT win the week in score (by other factors, which are important to have in WvWvW). Some though, think that this is good game for them..

This shows how the truth is different in our eyes and in my opinion noone is wrong.
In the end of the day, I can go to sleep happy knowing what my guild and my server can do in open field fighting. And you can go sleep happy that you win the week.

The sad thing is the very 1st posts of Viz QQers about nightcapping and 24/7 coverage with posts like “be ready to get bored PRX by having only doors and quaggans as enemies” etc. etc., when you see the last 7 days in the match up analysis how things are going.
The bad thing is that we wake up and start attacking in the prime time having to face T3 towers with many many sieges which actually means that we waste more time to take control of the maps than what it takes to VZ to “have quaggans and doors as enemies” during the night and early mornings (as they used to say), with their 50 (in all maps LOL) chuck norris crew..
The good thing is that we will maintain our position in T1 this week and hopefully the next weeks too.

Healing spring is the best for WvWvW, it’s the only thing I use and I bet my guild loves it too.
In mass pvps it helps a lot if you are orginized BUT you really need to get used to it. I had small problem using it at start, because I was using heal as one in the past. Once you get used to it though, and when to use it, it’s very good.

p.s.: If you are using double axes like I do, you will find out that with skill 5, Whirling Defense you have also healing bolts combo.

Is it me or more and more stuff like that happening whenever an event is going on?! And this is not only happening in this game but other online games too… i had the same feeling in the past

Went out with less numbers than we usually run tonight and some insane fights vs OSC mad action. I think both RG and OSC done a double flank around that catapult spot at the back of tower haha. Good stuff.

We really have fun fighting you too, at least I do! (as I don’t think it’s appropriate to speak on behalf of the guild as I am only a member). Awesome fights last night for once more…
TBH, RG is the hardest opponent I faced this week. VS guilds don’t take it as a flame, but I haven’t seen anything like that from your guilds. Maybe because, like one of your guys said (i think), you have small guilds that all work together and not like 1 big guild. But it’s easier for me (not alone ofc, with my guild) to kill VS guilds, even outnumbered, than RG guild even with even or more players on my side.
But what really suprise me from VS server is the consistency they have… all the time lots of numbers, and really good effort to defend your ground, respect for that.

I would love to see that skill changed so we can move while we do it, something like thieves do with one of their skills.
Do you think that’s possible in the future or you think it will be too OP then. Also the range is too small in my opinion. Sometimes I’m quite close to some of my enemies but I can’t hit them…

Good fights everyone. So far in my WvWvW expirience 2 guilds have impressed me, MoS and RG… RG, very nice fights last night, really respect.
As for the weekly rounds…. we might win, we might lose this week but at least we are enjoying it, it’s our very 1st week in T1 and we having a blast… (and tbh we do fairly ok without having any real expirience in T1 fights… meaning we need to improve lot more in order to stay in T1 for a long time).
Despite what many people from other servers think, we worked very hard to get where we are at the moment. If I remember well, when we hit T2 for the very first time, we had many people from our server leaving the game which really broke us down to even T3 or T4 (can’t remember) but we started re-orginizing ourselves and here we are now…
So far I’m having lots of fun in T1, I hope we keep up (all of us) the good fights we give to each other. (in game…not in this forum).

I use tribal skin cuz I like how the feathers swing whenever i hit an arrow….BUT the feathers are purple, so not so good for male chars

It hits the enemies behind the target you hit. I can’t tell you the range of it, that’s something you need to test but yes, it happens to hit many enemies (maybe more than 5) if they stand right behind your target. I used to use it alot in the past but now I play more with the beastmaster talent, cuz I use signets a lot and the Signet of Stone is really a must for me.

What Trait path you have, Zaqir?

I only play WvWvW and sometimes do some dungeon runs. I went on toughness too, not healing though. I made a kinda balanced set up so i have 2k+ toughness, 3k armor but also 3k+ power, 40%+ crit rate….a kind of hybrid build. I prefer using longbow as it helps a lot in WvWvW and axe/warhorn. I feel the same with you, although I do feel that rangers need some kind of boost to reach the other classes.
TBH, I never regret changing my set up from full power to toughness/survivnig more style, as I stay alive longer in pvp now and I’m not a glass cannon. I buff my allies as much as I can with my warhorn, using my healing spring that helps them remove conditions so I do feel that I am doing something and I don’t feel so useless.

I wonder if Superior Sigil of Air is good to have as an extra dmg that triggers every 5 secs on crit hit (30% chance). Anyone has tested it yet?

What sigil on Warhorn you use?
I can’t seem to find one that will satisfy me completly. I basically had the Superior sigil of Force but atm I’m testing the sigil of Restoration in WvWvW. My main hand axe has Superior Sigil of Bloodlust.
I don’t have a cond. dmg build and I don’t do pve.
What is your sigil, you warhorn users?

Although I know rangers suck in many things (I hope Anet will make us better in the future), I just can’t stop playing my precious Silveranna!

I have similar problems but in WvWvW. I run this game since start and although I had some few lags in pvp because of my poor pc, I never had such HUGE lags after the last updates.. More complained also even with much betters pcs than mine.

Mate I had the same issue on my desktop pc. For me it was happening outside Veloka Tower , Eternal Battlegrounds in WvWvW. I have a much worse pc than yours so what I did was turning on V-sync from options menu and since then I had 0 problems. Since last small patch like 2 days ago (1 day AFTER the event patch) I even tried to turn it off and still worked fine. If yours is also not turned on, try to do that first before anything else. If still you have problems, then all the above is not more than a humble effort to help

My idea as a solution to this night-capping issue is :

1. Finish the free server transfers , where it can eliminate the server hoppers issue that some people do because they can’t stand losing in WvWvW and always wanna go with the winning side.
2. Control the accounts based on region they were bought. What I mean is that Americans have their servers to play and they shouldn’t go to play in european servers just cuz they can easily overtake what we have upgraded during the european prime time, when we are asleep. Several examples, most recent one, the canadian guilds that joined Arborstone server, or some other american guilds joining some european servers, playing when all they other are asleep.

I understand that this is a constant fight and that you can’t change the system for the night cuz it will create more problems that it may solve, but if you restrict the accounts to play at their original region, the so called night-capping will be reduced a lot in my opinion.
Now I understand that some may think that this will be bad because let’s say I have a friend that moved or lives in U.S. , why shouldn’t I be able to play with him if I live in Europe? I agree that this may be bad but thinking the night-capping I find it less worse. More and more people get frustrated over this and simply said stop playing cuz they find it FUTILE to try so hard to attack/defend/upgrade, just to lose when they are not there… or most are not there cuz this is the time region they live.

I was wondering if you are going to make any account services in the future, near or distant, regarding stuff like changing name or gender or even race. I don’t know how possible that is or if it’s gonna create more problems than solving anything but I’m sure that many people, including me, might like the idea of changing.
Me for example, after playing for like 2 months now my ranger, I was considering changing race from Norn to an Asura. Why I simply don’t restart a new char? Well simply said, I spend too much time on it and I wouldn’t like this 2 month effort to go wasted and start over. Instead, I would like to pay for a simple (in my eyes at least, don’t know how much simple it really is) account service of a race change.
