What are the zones then? I have found more action in my character’s story then in any of the zones I’ve been in. Is there another thread that lists them?

I have been playing the game a while now and even though I don’t have an 80 I was wondering what happened to all the big events that were supposed to be out there? The biggest thing I’ve killed so far has been an event called Lake Monster. I did that one a couple of times just to get some extra karma so I could get some gear.
So where are the events? I’m almost 80 and there hasn’t been anything worth mentioning. I’m on at night and in the morning sometimes. What am I not doing right?
