Good to know that the baby karka aren’t sucking blood but using us as mounts! : <
I don’t get why the team will be decide if it’ll be fun or not. I like most of the explorer modes so far (but I’d s wish a real hard mode would come someday to challenge guilds and skilled palyers… I’m not one of those but still…)
I also found the living story dungeon fun. Which one do you consider as the “unfun”-creator team? Just curious because I fail to make a difference. I maybe liked the living story bosses more than any other bosses so far, but I don’t think it was because of the team but rather the experience they now have gathered that allowed them to make better/more interesting bosses.
I’d prefer a giant Boss to pop up serveral times a day until the event is over (And the game lore will simply pretend it was only one huge battle) as if we -really- get an unique battle that laggs like the last one.
Pretending to be unique, but feeling good is better than being unique but pretending to feel good.
Got my first one after ~10 minutes when killing the first Veteran Karka during an event (No MF), it had a ticket.
Later I bought 10 boxes because I felt like supporting the game. The sixth had another ticket. I also got a shoulder skin and that ship-in-a-glas-bottle one.
I used to think the drop rate was really high… but looking at the thread opener I’m really shocked (maybe I was just ridiculous lucky…)
Actually I was about 10 minutes on the event area, did not even had the MF buff (I didn’t know how to get it ) and just jumped in an event-fight, a crate dropped and it had a ticket…
Yesterday I felt like supporting the game a bit, but didn’t know what to buy. Since I need karka shells but have less time to play I decided to buy some crates. So I bought ten and another ticket….
It is luck. Very very random luck.
I was never very lucky (600 hours playing the game and I have under 100 expos. You have an idea how many rares dropped to me before the special-chests for the world events were added. haha) I don’t know what to think of this super random luck. I have gotten only one good color so far (that expensive dark blue one) while I have opened all colors that every dropped. The girl whom lives in the house next to me played under 60 hours and already got a third black-color. Haha.
Random drops are random,. you can’t do anything about it. You could get a ticket in the first box like me, or in box number 4000. Nobody knows : (
Btw. I don’t mind very rare weapons at all. I just find it sad that amazing skins, such as the molten weapons from last moth, disappear. It’d be great to keep them, amybe elt them drop at a tiny chance in the farctals or soemthing. And make them tradeable.
Also… we now FINALLY get some Horror-Themed weapons. We have too less stuff for the evil looking characters and now these skins will be gone too : /

Yeha and that charr top cloth is just a decorative item. Their nipples (they have much more than two, too) are hidden under the fur anyways.
And honestly…. if you hate that armor, get another skin for your Asura! xD
(I’m already surprised we don’t have any femenist posts in the forum who cry about women being so skinny, beautiful and showing much skin. Usually you always get some female trolls who think they get reduced and need to make drama about it…)
I hope for
-GvG
-New skills (And maybe selecting different skills for the weapon-slots, too)
-A hard mode for dungeons with a new boss for each one and rare dropping items (they should drop in the normal mode too, but are easier to get in the hard mode. That’d be the best solution)
-More armor skins (also for lower levels)
-House building & Guild Hall building (Let’s craft, buy stuff for karma, gold, laurels, WvWvW marks or even fractal marks… and rare monster drops. Getting nice decorative items from many different system will be very motivating to play those)
-More faces/Hair styles or ears for asura and horns/fur patterns for Charr.
-New fractals
-Maybe new world bosses
-Consequences when a world boss event fails (Army attacking a city, waypoints unusable in the map etc.) that’d be awesome, but I doubt It’d happen ^^"
These are my most important points.
And …Just a dream but I’d wish the Tengu, which already had concept arts for how they can look in varied shapes, would become a playable race .v.

@Gasoline: I’ve even stated my Nekro is a guy (And I prefer women, just in case somebody is thinking something odd here…). I like RP-alike atmosphere and would indeed pay a bit to adjust his blue boxers that don’t fit the rest of the armor at all.
Besides I have a different mentality about that “They pay real money for stuff like that!”-idea. Other people pay 50€ within three hours in a bar. I paid so far ~80€ for this game and spent over 600 hours there so far. I said I loved the new Bioshock and am glad I bought it, but played only 20 hours in there and it wasn’t much cheaper at all. So 3 hours bar drinking vs 20 hours gaming vs 600 hours gaming? We are talking about a Hobby here. (No worries, I go out too, but I spent barely 10€ an evening for some food and a beer maybe…)
I can get your point, but I think Guild Wars 2 is -indeed- worth my money. After a ticket dropped for me for free I thought it was just fair to buy some actual RNG chests from the shop. (Bought ten got another ticket <_<" ) At the moment there is nothing left I’d like to get but I’m willed to pay about 10€ a month for something nice from their shop as much as i’m willded to pay 15€ for going to watch a movie in the cinema.
It’s money for my Hobby, I’m not using the finances I need for living.

Gw2 can need more PvP, yes. But it lacks everything. I think that GW2 is a great game but it feels like an awesome movie with a sudden bad ending. It isn’t short at all (heck look how many hours you spent inside already!) but it FEELS short. I guess it is because the leveling was really fun and then you’d like to have fun doing ore but there isn’t that huge amount of content left after reaching lv.80. If you farm for the legendary, level&equip a few alts, do the fractals and do WvWvW, have a guild and do the missions then I think you indeed have a good game. But people whom are barely PvP-active, have no guild/don’t play much with it, who don’t like puzzles or exploring areas, who don’t like new short events like the living story things and who don’t level&equip alts… whom maybe are not even interested in a legendary, yes, they have nothing to do!
I think that 100% “just for fun” things like housing and building a guild hall/or even island would solve this problem. You’d have to buy furniture with karma, gold, guild marks, craft it, find it with rare drops, buy some via gems (which might need gold farming), buy some with laurels, maybe even needing dungeon marks. Things that take a lot of time to built up, similar to the legendary but not being reduced to “just another nice skin” – that alone would really change much.
… and for PvP-fans we could need a more advanced WvWvW (The traps are a good step in that direction already) with equipping the castles, having something like moveable canons etc. maybe, and –of course- Guild vs Guild and more PvP modes would be great.
But I’m sure that all of this will follow. Imo, I’m happy because I have barely time to play. All content that pops up is enough for me to do and there is still much left for me to do. But I pity the hardcore/more active players, I can understand why they get bored.
(Yet I have guild members who were ingame for 2000+ hours already and never heard them complaining for “lack of content”. Not for a single day. So some people are happy actually :> )
Maybe that’s why I’m happy to hear there might come a big add-on. If the missing systems (And a party finder, pelase, for the poor people who have no big guild and want to do dungeons!) are added, then I see no reason to even doubt this game deserves place one. The amount of fun I have with GW2 is at least the biggest of all MMORPGs I’ve ever played, but of course everybody has their likes and dislikes.
(The only thing I can agree with is that I miss the GW1 skill system a bit. I’d like to have different skills for weapons and choose some by myself. Even when there are just two options for a slot, I’d really make the character skilling more interesting.)

Really now, this would be one of the easiest ways to make money, especially since the suits are already all modeled!
( I wouldn’t even complain about the fanservice being brought here. It’s okay and I feel better seeing pixel-people swimming in actual swim clothes than seeing them in their underwear, haha.)
I really hope the swimsuits might replace the underwear, though. Because I don’t want to use them as my CITY CLOTHES x’D (That’d be also a great way to make people buy those whom always wanted to dye their underwear. I just find it strange that my necromancer has blue boxers, so I’d get those even when I don’t plan on making him swim in it. It’d be still worth it in case the armor breaks again.)
OH we now can still complete the F&F event!
Thank you A-Net! The busy workers who had no time to play are thanksful now 8’D
I’ve gotten one from a Champion-Chest today. That was not a direct foe-drop either.
… If the chest at the end of the game is similar then I’d say it can. If it is an unique chest then nobody can know unless they got one .
