i’d assume it’s because charr’s warmachines are widely known to be extremely powerful (their siege weapons are everywhere in their capital city) while asura’s technology focuses more on utility (devices that aid them, golem for heavy duty, etc)
Yet the inquest and many other Asuran krewes use personal defence turrets made from Asuran tech which are fairly potent and currently the most destructive siege engine in the game is an Asuran golem. I hope they will look into creating race specific skins for the engineer and many other classes instead of homogenizing them into just Charr tech.
I play an Asuran engineer and I love the play style and feel its very unique. It has a lot of good things going for it like special kits for engineer specific weapons and such. My only gripe with the class ,which can be fixed in the future, is that all of the tech you use is not the sophisticated Asuran tech we all know and love, its dirty Charr steampunk tech instead. It is not a big problem but I find myself cringing every time I place a turret or use a kit. Much like most of you I created an Asuran for the mystical-technologically advanced look of their cultures homes, gear, and inventions and I wish that the engineer, which I know was first conceived by the Charr, would reflect that. Its not all that important in the long run but I hope they not only make the Asuran engineer feel Asuran but also the other races and classes as well.
Inquest style turrets would be nice
On a similar note, if you want your engineer to feel a bit more Asuran, invest in a “Super Hyperbeam Alpha”
That looks interesting. I have for the most part used Asuran only weaponry but I have yet to see this one.
I know " balance needs to come before cosmetics " but I can’t help but be slightly bugged that my Asuran engineer can’t show his races awesome and obviously better tech than the Charrs scrap turrets and devices. The Inquest employ turrets all over the continent with a very Asuran feel that would be perfect for this purpose. Not to say the Asuran would be the only ones getting a makeover. Humans I could see having an automated ballista system, The Sylvari with biotech plant/turrets, Norn well uh with Norn stuff (not well acquainted with the race).
I can see this happening over time. Adding maybe one race at a time. I feel it would not only look cool but make you feel better about the race that you play. Not sure if any of the other classes could use a makeover but I feel the engineer would be better off with it.
TL;DR Dreams of Asuran techno-magical supremacy seeping into my engineers skill bar. Racial skins for turrets and why they would look cool.

The Golem skills are the closest im ever going to get to a Golemancer class.
This. I play an engineer but I want to be some sort of cyber/robotic/Golemancer character. I will be for the most part spaming the golem and pretending my different buffs are cybernetic enhancements. Cheesy I know but this is what I want to play.
Yea I don’t like some of the larger hairs. Azura hair is usually dark (wiki info) and I would think short. Yet i see long red, blue, white, and yellow hair everywhere. Never really noticed this but you might be right. I went with a simple short black cut. Guess I don’t like the fad.
