I can’t see how the fix is such an amazing undertaking to be delayed this long. They aren’t giving us any other way of getting our skins/titles unlocked.
Maybe we should flood the system with tickets /shrug
i still care…..i want my stygian reaver
That is one of the nicest skins from HoM.
Bump for a response from ANET; this wait is beyond any justification.
Isn’t this taking an unusual amount of time to correct? Can we at least petition via tickets to get our skins unlocked? The GM could verify our our HoM status and square us away. Would it be efficient to do this? No, but we are two months out with no word of a fix other than “we haven’t forgotten you”.
Some folks make the argument comparing these harvesting tools to buying cars which is not a viable comparison due to the fact that most everyone would trade in their old model toward the new car for the new features – not keep the old car and buy an entirely new one (speaking in general of course).
That’s what I would like to see here. I don’t personally mind the bonus items with the new harvesting tools but give us a fair upgrade path like 100 gems plus our old tool as trade in for the new tool. That allows a constant upgrade path for those of us that have already invested in these tools and softens the blow of changes like this.
Race: Sylvari
Sex: Male (issue may also exist on female)
Profession: Warrior and Guardian
Armor Set: Heritage (Pauldron)
Description: The size of these pauldrons is grossly out of proportion with the rest of this armor set. The size of the pauldrons looks to be for Norn when equipped by Sylvari (Note that my male Sylvari was created with the maximum height for his race). And as a result there is an very obvious gap between the chest armor and the shoulder armor.

I disagree on dyes, Having bought a number of very rare dyes for 20-50g each I will not be re-buying them for my other characters. Dyes that are on TP for less than 1g won’t effect the market place as many of these dyes are given away or destroyed rather than listed on TP.
Making dyes soulbound is a bonkers decision, it’s a purely cosmetic item and doesn’t effect game balance. The devs should just do it already and give us a real Christmas present.
I agree with Tringsh. I’ve purchased some rather costly dye’s for my main and won’t ever buy them again. It’s a matter of principle and I can’t see spending that coin again for something I already own.
The the flaw in the OP’s assertion is that all players follow the same patterns in how they spend their coin and is not considering how making dye’s account level would actually increase dye sales. There are people out there (like me) wanting a rare dye that costs 100g but won’t buy it because they could only use it with a single character.
I know I never buy these BECAUSE I can only use it on a single character so my coin will go elsewhere like converted into gems to buy useful items that don’t drop or have low drops in-game and I figure that one day I will identify the dye I wanted or get lucky with the Mystic Toilet. Until then I wouldn’t dare spend the coin so how does that notion that dye’s should be limited per character support the economy? In my case and with many players it doesn’t.
I’m confident that if dye’s were account bound that many players would change their minds on justifying that spending 100g on a DYE as a reasonable investment because it’s not limited to one character.

I love the Mesmer class but I honestly don’t care for the butterfly effects for when the Mesmer’s phantasms and clones shatter. To me it feels rather like being stuck with “The Dreamer” short bow missile effects no matter what bow I am using – I hate it!
I feel that the Mesmer has the most polarizing visual effects of any class and either you like/tolerate it or hate it as I do.
My suggestion is to provide at least one other option when creating a Mesmer to be able to choose the shatter effect for your clones / phantasms. This to me is in line with a game that focuses on letting you customize the look of the character you want to create.
Think of it like the Silvari glow effect that makes it distinct from any other race. This would make the Mesmer distinct from any other class in being able to define an aspect of the experience to help someone enjoy the class the way they want to.
