Thanks Devon. Variety and uncertainty are good things! Personally, I’d love to get crushed for a few weeks, but a few hours’ delicious anticipation is ample compensation for a week of terror or a week of cruise control. On Maguuma, we’ll enjoy either with our usual, cynical poise. hugs

Shoutout to [RAM] of YB. I dunno how I never noticed you guys before, but tonight we had some awesome fights on Mag bl.

You guys run a really similar style to our guild, and your movement coordination is awesome! We totally need to GvG some time.

RAM (plus a group of CL) really impressed me/us. What started as a routine, light-hearted defense of SW camp became a sudden and serious tactical quandary: “how are we going to handle these guys?”. Kudos to your cohesion, boon up-time, movement and response quality. I look forward to more of this!!

We have no skill lag in Tier 3. I believe this is an Oceanic phenomenon in Tiers 1 and 2, so I recommend those poor, afflicted souls transfer to Maguuma where they will enjoy no latency whatsoever. May their every keystroke be swift, devastating, and (of course) satisfying in the eyes of the Grub and Great Lord Flame Ram.

This has been the most competitive matchup, and the best week of WVWVW, that I’ve had since the game came out. My own theory on why the number of players are what they are (holidays notwithstanding), is the closeness of the match. Because the effort of every players matters in this matchup, I have seen that people are loathe to go to sleep, they are getting on earlier than normal, etc. It is EXCITING this week. I know it’s unsustainable given tier mechanics, but I’d take this grouping every week til the February patch.

And because I am having a blast, I have noticed not a peep of exploiting, I haven’t been griefed by “OP thieves”, I even find the fickle quaggans more tolerable than normal. If you are enjoying the game, it is hard to find things to whinge about.

This is the most fun I’ve had in wvw in many weeks. Thanks to YB and EB for the great competition, and to my beloved Maguumans for making this game enjoyable. I’d be happy to keep this matchup for weeks to come, or any other that provided such pleasant and intense parity. Huzzah!
