With the release of the newest jumping puzzle, this issue has become more apparent. People are using jumping puzzles to trivialize the content. For instance, with the new jumping puzzle a Mesmer can create a portal at the chest, wp, and then run within range to port everyone to the very end.

Can we get a debuff while inside that prevents portaling or at least reduces its range? How about having no wp’s close to a jumping puzzle? How about making it so that the portal skill cancels and is forced into cooldown when you wp?

Completely agreed.

PLEASE, let us play minigames with friends?

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for a while now, and I was a massive fan of the original Guild Wars. Although Guild Wars 2 is a beautiful MMO full of things to see and places to go I feel that there is very little room for player skill.

What you put your points in to in the original Guild Wars made a difference. There were so many skills to choose from. I think what has crushed this game has been that everyone pretty much has the same skills. Don’t get me wrong, you can make minor tweaks and choose certain things to make your character play differently, but it never makes me feel like it makes that much of a difference. There needs to be more than the set skills for weapons. When every single person has the exact same skills for any given weapon it just feels boring. There should be at least 10 different skills to chose from per weapon. In the original guild wars there were at least 20 for hammer ALONE. This, to me, would be one of the most significant updates to the game. Lets be honest, the game doesn’t really change significantly from level 4 to 50. Same basic weapon skills, and anyone could get by just using weapon skills with out the additional skill point abilities.

Another thing we need to work on with this game is PvE community. It feels lonely. Not in the sense that I can’t go find people doing the same random events to level over and over again, but that missions in Guild Wars 1 were a way to progress through the game and gain massive experience. The game doesn’t ever feel likes it gets harder at any point either. I feel like I wanted to I could run all the way to level 80 areas no sweat on a pretty noob character. (Not that there is even any incentive to do so) Missions should be a community experience. There should be matchmaking like old times, team dynamics. Everyone plays lone ranger in this game with out really bringing anything substantial to the table. There were roles in the last game, and I for one liked that. I don’t like this lone ranger business of grinding my way through events with bosses where all I do is sit there and beat some champion mindlessly until I can get to the right level to do a mission by myself. I play with my brother a lot and that’s pretty much the only thing getting me through this game. What even is there end game? It’s not like your nice stuff transfers over to PvP? Why even make PvP and PvE seperate? A bunch of the fun in Guild Wars 1 was getting your nice stuff and showing off in PvP or guild battles. Maybe I’m just ranting, but I really wish some of this stuff could be fixed. Guild Wars 1 was in my Opinion the greatest MMO of all time. I like a lot of things about Guild Wars 2 as well, but it needs a lot of work. The combat looks beautiful, the equipement is awesome, the random events are so cool, and the randomly added content like Sky Pirates is amazing, but It feels so boring because of my lack of ability to make my character significanly better than the beginning of the game.
