I like the idea of underwater weapons being usable above water.
And what about two-handed axes? They seem strangely absent, especially in Norn areas. Did someone round them all up and have them melted down over the course of the last 250 years?
I did find it funny Braham is the only male member of Destiny’s edge 2.0
Whats Frostbite?its even more noticeable if your are a female pc. Quotas are dumb. but when you line up and its 5 to 1 it looks funny.
Welcome to the world that female gamers have been living in for decades.
I can just imagine how frustrating it must be for Non-binary players, who get next to zero representation.
I have never in my life felt the need to play a trans character in game to represent myself.
That is not how or why people play games. They don’t need to be represented at all. Also there has been ample female player choice for decades, in the vast majority of games. nevermind games like this with create your own character.
This. I don’t get the representation hysteria at all, it’s one big witch hunt really. The quotas being demanded by angry ideologues have a very negative and intimidating impact on devs. And they are never satisfied. So many projects have been censored and stripped because of fear of these people, and those who don’t play along often get smeared as bigoted.
Inb4 “we are not the government so when we threaten and harass devs we are not censoring them”, there are literally devs saying kitten like “We apologize for the imagery we shared earlier” after sharing artwork from their own game.
Meh. They’re not that bad, like a small bonus, I doubt many pursue achievements for the chests
Imagine if, at some point, Braham got the blessing of Snow Leopard and took on the snow leopard form in front of Rox. Rox gets to suddenly see him as something a lot more charr-like, and likes it.
…Perfect.
((checks off “furry” on diversity chart))
Get on it, Anet.
((looks at Charr character creation system))
((Wanders around Charr capital listening to dialogue))
If you didn’t have that box checked off already, you weren’t paying attention.
Charr are absolutely mature, sexual creatures with ties of familial kinship and affection. Charr dialogue gives you a lot of insight into the possibility of forced intercourse in the barracks in a militant society and getting your skull ripped open for trying it. Those Charr-cubs you find everywhere aren’t produced by spores…
*Braham’s personal diversity chart
Let’s take it one step further and see some Norn-Charr hybrid cubs.

As said earlier most of the same sex relationships seem forced and not really integral to the story line..
Agreed and it wouldn’t surprise me if they were there just to scream “Look at how diverse our game is”, which I don’t really mind, what I do mind is if focus in these areas has a negative impact on quality and when a rich game world that makes sense in the lore is put below real-world politics on the priorities scale.
Forced “balance” and “representation” is toxic and corrosive to everything that actually matters in a game, including creative freedom.
Same issue here, also with a Personal Story instance, the Sylvari one where you go to retrieve the sword of Riannoc (sp?) from Wayne in Gendarran Fields. It’ll load for a very long time, then disconnect and drop me off at the entrance to Lion’s Arch next time I log in. I haven’t encountered it with any other areas so far, only when trying to enter that specific instance.
