There’s already a thread about this; a lot of accounts had their progress rolled back if they switched zones or instances during the authentication server issues. They are not planning on restoring anything, at maximum it should hopefully only be 1, maybe 2 hours of play… frustrating, but not a whole day or anything at least.

I had an issue the Sunday after the headstart people started where I got rolled back about 6 hours of gameplay… I lost half of a zone of completion and 3 or 4 levels. Apparently I was the only one affected, still don’t know what happened, and 2 weeks later I finally got a response from support saying “wow, well, that sucks, sorry.” I’m pretty sure that’s what the response is going to be (even though this is more than just one person, this time…)

I’ve had this happen too, and I also suspect it was alt-tabbing, although it doesn’t happen every time I alt-tab.

It’s quite possible that he’s just getting lucky random rolls; I’ve noticed that as a higher player (only level 40, but still) completing lower level maps (level 1-15), I get mostly low-level drops, but a few of them are closer to my level.
