I’ve never had a problem finding people for dungeons. I find that nobody lists in LFG during my active time… but if I start the group myself, people will join.

However if it’s story yeah just do it alone. Very rarely do i get anyone joining for story.

You get truckloads from dungeons… I’m constantly tossing them because the star can’t eat fast enough.

I would raid if the community did not judge your gear & skill level, for those of us who have never raided we need to learn. I have tried for months to get into a raid but get kicked out if I don’t have the right gear or know the run.

That’s kind of the point. Raids are supposed to be a test of skill. If you don’t have the skill… or the knowledge… or the gear to compensate the lack of both… then you may be the direct cause of your team wiping before you even get to the very mechanics you are trying to learn.

There are plenty of guides out there and videos of each encounter. Read up and watch, educate yourself on the encounters so you know what to do when you try to practice. Gear up and learn the core game first then you’ll find that you’ll have a better time with raids.

Learn to walk before trying to run.

Problem with this suggestion is the added DPS slots solves nothing in terms of variety and will just make the raids easier than they already are.

I guess I should post since technically I’m the leader… I just wanted Fritos (FlameAlchemist) to do the recruiting. I’m not good with Forum stuff…

I just wanted to clarify why we decided to start recruiting. The guild has existed for a year now and there’s really only been a team of three people, with the more recent addition a few months ago of a fourth. Raids are coming up, which means that we probably won’t be able to get by with 3-4 players like we have been with dungeons and fractals.

One thing I’ve noticed with our guild is that we’ve played as a team for long enough that we’ve actually begun to synergize with one another to the point where we don’t really need to communicate too much. We work off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses and that’s why we can underman dungeons and fractals to challenge ourselves (like our 4 man Aetherpath)

If we can pull this off with a small team of 3-4 people, I would like to see what a cohesive team of 10 can do.

This is also the reason why we’re even accepting the newer or less experienced PvE players. It’ll be less than two months before HoT comes out so we have a bit of time to practice and work on our team building. We’ll make sure you’ll be dungeon savvy before the expansion comes.

That being said, I’m happy with the response we’ve gotten by this thread so far. We are still looking for more people though! Just having 10 people means we’ll be short if anyone is not able to be online, so we’re aiming for ~15 active people. I think we’re halfway there now.

Sorry to bump an old topic but I’ve had this exact issue happen to me just now with the same code numbers and everything.

Playing Citadel of Flames, Magg path, was protecting Magg from assassins… Game became unresponsive and we all died. Couldn’t pop revive orbs, couldn’t waypoint.
I hit change character…
1083:5:7:1609:101

That’s when I googled the code and found this topic.

GW2 closed completely and relaunched. I can get to the loading screen then 1083:5:7:1609:101. This happened for about 5 minutes and then I was able to get back in.

So once I was able to get back in, I tried rejoining my party, got 19:9:18:1583:101.

So yea, we couldn’t finish our run obviously.
