Hello Everyone,
I recently got hacked about 10 days ago and finally got my account back from anet. Anet restored my account to first day of this month which cause me to loose nearly 500g because at that time I just bought some toon slots. Furthermore, my small little guild bank where I store alot of valuble items also gone.

Anet told me that they are not able to restore any lost from Guild Bank so that’s a shame cause I have a bunch of unidentified dyes and exotic armors I stored for future use.

In spite of the above, I was thinking maybe Anet can create a (one time/day) Password required to use Trading Post as hackers salvage ur stuff and sell in the trading post for gold. On top of that, Bank and Guild Bank should have the same one time/day log in to access.

This way, with the 2 step verification, password on banks and trading post, the hacker are not able to sell any of you stuff in trading post or get into your bank.

I know is a hassle to go through all that but is one time log in to trade or bank a day… It is SAFER. Trust me, when you log in without any armor, gold, gem, bank items, laurel, karma, and etc. You would not think is troublesome to have that wonderful feature.

It sounds to me like your account was actually hacked twice and the second time you received a ban was probably because some gold seller spammed messages with your account. That usually means that your account details are compromised and the hacker is somehow able to get in. Anet have made it pretty clear that they only offer you one account restoration so you need to take security seriously. As you said your account was restored so they did do what they promised.
I would suggest you look through all the advice on these forums on how to make sure your account is safe after it has been hacked but as far as i’m aware authenticator is your best option since hackers tend to have a lot of details about your account and it’s pretty easy for them to contact Anet and pretend to be you.

you might want to read my message again. i did not got hacked 2×. i got hacked once, restore, 1 min later account got terminated, 2 days later they reverse the termination saying they did it by mistake so the restoration actually didn’t happened.

I really confused by your message. From what I got, you were basically told "Your account was hacked (which it was) and it was restored (which it was) and they only offer it once to everyone. Doesn’t matter that your account was banned or not. It was still hacked, and THAT is were the security risk is.

Anet only offers one (1) account rollback. That it was they were trying to get across.

Well, when my acct was restored, I was chatting with friend that it is restored….i was standing still talking and bam….i was banned/terminated. So I dont know what is going on. Anet then come back to me 2 days later apologized about wrongfully banned me. So I acct was unbanned/terminated. But they did not restore the restoration they did before they banned me for nothing

To simplify things, I am going to list it out in number.
1. My account was hacked on the 6th September.
2. I reported the same day
3. GMsss review my account and confirmed it was illegally used by a third party
4. Confirmation by ANOTHER GM to restore my account since they banned it temporally
5. Told me is unbanned by 2-3 separate emails by different GMs that my account is release and unbanned. BUT IT IS STILL BANNED.
6. Finally unbanned and account restored to the date prior to hacked. ( I WAS SO HAPPY)
7. I logged in and suddenly kicked out of the server and cannot log back in.
8 Contacted Anet, TWICE responded by GM Dhumm that decision is final. BUT WHY MY ACCOUNT IS TERMINATED????
9. 2 days later, GM Dhummed respond to my countless emails asking why my account terminated, he apologized that it is they mistake, they wrongly terminated my account and return my account.
10. Log in and found out that all my toons were armorless, bankless, goldless, gemless, weaponless, and ETC.
11. REPORTED again and GM Renzo said it was restored once AND CANNOT restore Due to the security liability related to compromised accounts blah blah blah
CONCLUSION……if they have not have terminated my account wrongly, I would have my account restored AS PROMISED.
Every time there is a new GM respond to my email and I have to repeat myself. Where are the people we used to have in GW1 customer service?
