Exemplar also exist on the Lore. The Exemplar that appears on the books is part of the Tyrian elite forces, working directly for king Baede and his kitten of a son Edair. She was clearly NOT A GUARDIAN: a ubber sensual and snakey woman that controlled the crown through subterfuge and charisma. And an incredibly powerful Necromancer…
I assume you mean Livia. True she is/was a necro. Exemplar (and Master Exemplar) is a rank in the Shining Blade, currently the rank is held by Countess Anise (Mesmer), Mehid (Guardian), Salia (Warrior), and Talie (unspecified). While it is a bit of a stretch in the lore I think the term fits better than the Paragon
Am I the only one who doesn’t want the spec to be called Paragon? If they use it then the original Paragon class is permanently locked out if Anet ever expands into Elona. Personally I am hoping for the name top be “Exemplar”

So you want to redo the entire map completion mastery? Or lets say there is a mastery for weapon master achievements (its in the name there better be), you want to redo all of those 5,000 kills with every weapon again, including the insanely annoying shield kills and aquatic weapons?

We know it will be a new weapon, as it was stated that each profession’s specialization would have a new weapon. No reason to think Revenant will be an exception.
As for new legend, that depends on how much they change the class mechanic, if at all. My personal speculation is that they will only get one legend (I think it will be Glint) and won’t be able to switch. As a compensation, they will use less energy per skill (due to not being able to switch) and will have the option to mix and match skills rather than have a set bar (from skills specifically designed for the specialization).
We have seen Rytlock using the Glint Elite skill already, I doubt that was a Revenant specialization reveal. Also screen shots of Revenant skill bars show the quick-slot arrows above the utility skills showing that the skills are not completely locked to the channeled spirit.
A possibility that has crossed my mind and seems more likely (although unbalanced as a concept) is the channeled spirit effecting the weapon skills not just the utility skills. Revenants are already unique against the other proffs so speculation on how they become more unique is rather difficult. Especially with the lack of information on them.
Main is already a sylvari so thats pretty much locked in for HoT already. My rev is definitely gonna me asura though.
I’m taking a shot in the dark here, but the in game model for the wings we have seen as well as the pre-rendered stuff, it looks like the glider item will replace any currently equipped back item like the engineer weapon kits do.
However, if they want top toss in different skins for the gliders i wont complain.
Zhaitan mini, that is all
i know it wont happen but hey a guy can dream can’t he
Agreed. Also I want to see a Twisted Marionette mini.
I wouldn’t mind if they brought sets 1-3 back as well. I know we can find them in BL chests and in the trading post but hopping for A) a mini to drop and for it to be a mini you don’t have is a real shot in the dark, as for buying off other players its pretty expensive for the rarer pets and since the price is set by the sellers and gold stays in the community Anet cant write it off as a gold sink.
I’m planning on rolling a male asura. No name yet but as a character he studied the very nature of the eternal alchemy and how specific individuals influenced it, and why.
In his studies it was interesting to him that he was able to contact; and latter channel; the powers of the Margonite entity Mallyx and not an un-named hero known to have defeated him in combat.
There were in fact a multitude of nameless heroes, all human, specifically during the events of the Flame-seeker prophecies and the Nightfall of Elona. However his own research turns up that history seems to have forgotten everything about these heroes other than what they did. Even more astounding is that their companions often ARE named. The best place to find these answers? The Mists.
This of course drove him to study everything he could about the mists and the powers, souls, and denizens resided within them. He knew of the Mistlock Observatory but that was more focused on the events in the past. He wanted to know the people. Who where they? Why where they like that? And how… how could he harness that power for himself.
I think the revenant has some excelent RP capabilities for any GW1 fans to bring in why the original characters seemed to have been left out of history

I didn’t want to jump into this topic… The trailer shows Rytlock wielding a staff in melee combat, watch it frame by frame and that is obvious. However, I found something very important… Rytlock has a Lionguard Polearm in his office in the black Citidel
