There’s something strange going on with the “Play now” button at the moment. You should try joining the servers with names like “Server 09, 50” etc as those are hotjoin servers.
But courtyard is excluded from that?
Correct. Courtyard is not part of the standard custom arena configuration.
What? I get thrown into any custom arena when I press “Play now”. Even the ones who kick me out before the loading screen finishes.
You usually should get 1 (at the moment: 2) win-chests after you won a match in the arenas. Displayed by some torphy-icon in the right corner above the minimap. When you click the trophy, you get some “pop-up-window” showing/giving you some extra glory, rank points and the chests.
You dont get gems and “qualification points”(stars) anymore. Just the chests and glory / rankpoints.
So it basically works like before, just that it isn’t really a “tournament” anymore. Well I guess I’ll post in the bug forum or something then? Since I’m not getting any rewards.
Edit: Reading the bug forum I see the transferring from EU – US bug, so I just have to win 100-ish times before I can get rewards again? Great.

Hello, I played GW2 on release, but I quit after a few months. I came back a week ago and noticed the change to the arena and I am confused. I recently tried this new arena and won the first 3 matches and lost the 4th and I didn’t seem to get anything except glory and rank points. Please enlighten me about how the chest reward system works now.
