Heyyyyy! Launching it in the 32 bit mode with the target shortcut I think worked for me, unless it was just a coincidence.
Think it was my 6th or 7th attempt at being stuck on that story mission. I also made sure to clear the “Don’t get hit by a vine on the helix” achievement by getting hit, and made sure I never hit a vine wall and just glided between the two ways up or found ways around the wall.
But it worked! Finally got to do it without crashing!
Woo! I was the person that made that, with the goal to create a secret society of really tiny characters of wildly obsessive types.
But good news! A dev going by “ArenaNetEvanL”, which I can only hope is the Anet programmer Evan Lesh here, responded on reddit and said:
“This is a great observation. I’m not sure whether the idea of camera pivot point based on height has been brought up before, but there isn’t much stopping us from trying out moving the pivot point around. I’d have to look into the code if there are technical limitations.”
So yeah, you can imagine how much excited drool sneaked it’s way out of my mouth while I was smiling reading that. <3
This has been #1 on GW2’s re-did-it for over 20 hours now by a wide margin. But has only got a few replies here.
This is my first time posting on this forum so I don’t know all the intricacies. Can people not see the attachment if they are not logged in? Or do people generally not pay attention to attachments and use other links instead? I don’t know how things work here. But I know all of you are some sexy kittens. <3
