Well. After seeing the latest thief patch notes it seems their “Compensation” For the damage Nerf were utility buffs which doesn’t really compensate for our lost damage. I’m pretty sure Mesmer illusions do more damage they thief do now. So i ask the question.
What are you re-rolling too. Surely the thief still cant be viable in serious pvp now. We have no more viable specs. Yes you may say condition thief, But seriously? Id take a necro/engi any day for conditions…
I have warrior in mind. Seems they can still one shot people.
EDIT: This is not a qq thread iv played thief since bwe#1 But the thief has become a state where it is now useless. I find the thief fun none the less but for serious pvp (paid tournys) What can the thief do other classes cant? Stealth? Engi can give that out with smoke field or something. Conditions? Necro/engi. Mabey burst. 100b Warrior/mesmer.
If you are going to comment please base it on a pvp perspective and serious pvp play not just “Oh. well im still playing thief because i enjoy it”. This is about the usefulness of the thief not “If you still enjoy it”
Last time i tested this it still followed the rules of shadowstep. So if i was on a ledge or something or around a corner the trap would not work. Unless this has been changed?
If this has been changed i would like actual evidence to support please.
I seem to be missing the pvp version of the “fiery dragon sword” I know this because i saw a player in my tounrament game with it. When i asked him he said it was on his second tab in the HOM.
Somebody tried to log into my account and the password was the same for both (Cus im silly lol) Anyways. Im pretty sure he authed himself but i did change my email password and my gw2 password to two completly differant things. But how would i de-auth him from my account just to be sure?
Set up a ticket but I was hoping for some direct support. I’m curious if I’m suspected of exploiting or something due to the loss of about 2.5g over night.
This seems to be pretty common as well. Mostly I just want to be sure that I’m not being accused of something I didn’t do, before I go back to making money using the Trading post.
As it says in the ticket, I can provide spreadsheets as well as formulas to prove that this wasn’t an exploit and merely good business sense.
They won’t give you your money back, they said yesterday when I asked about my hacked account that they can’t restore any items… like they just dont have the option. So Welcome to the family of I want my stuff back but they won’t give it to me.
If your making an mmo the first thing u should concider is hacking and account restore. All they need do is rollback your account… and if they cannot do that then iv lost all faith in a.net protecting me.

All my cash has gone too. BUT i did get an authorization email so mabey i was hacked. But i did buy something on the trading post yestorday. So i dno. but id like to get my cash back.
EDIT: Nothing else is missing. All my items. gems. collectables are still there. even the same place i logged out. So if i was hacked wouldnt they of taken my gems ?? Probably some strange bug
So i found out today somebody accessed by account while i was at school. When i logged on i lost all my silver (all 80 of it) May not be alot but it is to me. And now im left with 80 copper… All my collectables, items, characters are still there just my gold has been removed? Any chance i can get it back? Cus im really annoyed right now. Since i cant teleport anywhere or repair. and im lvl 37. So im really kittened right now.
