Legendary Greatsword... Ranger?

I currently am using Sunrise and Sword/Dagger on my Ranger and I absolutely love it. The amount of mobility you have, the free dodges and evades is absolutely incredible. I use both weapon sets and switch liberally in dungeons and Fractals to stay alive.

I highly approve of this =)

Quick Notes: We are a guild focused on creating a very strong, personal community that is dedicated to helping and achieving goals. We do not want a large guild of 50+ players where only a few people know each other. To ensure this, we stop recruiting after we get an influx of people to let everyone get acquainted and familiar with each so we all stay personal. Most of our members are 20+, so chat is nearly always mature. Nearly For a more in-depth look visit our guild’s thread at: http://tinyurl.com/mdstguild

[Darkhaven-PvX] Mostly Modest is expanding! (Open)

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Mostly Modest [Mdst], a guild that calls Darkhaven home! We appreciate you taking the time to learn about our guild!

The Guild

Mostly Modest was founded with the goal of creating a close-knit community consisting of quality members with a drive to push difficult content in the game. We are very goal-oriented and have players actively participating in all endgame activities. We would ultimately like to be a dominant force on Darkhaven. Right now the guild is working on localized WvW capture strategies, completion and refinement of explorable dungeon clears, and legendary farming. The guild is just starting to head into sPvP. We are an active and determined group of gamers who like to accomplish goals in a stress free environment. We want the guild’s atmosphere to be mature, welcoming, active, dedicated, and drama-free while maintaining a non-elitist attitude. The guild is democratic. Our members have a say in guild functions, activities, upgrades, recruitment ect.

Mostly Modest has developed an active core of players that have experience completing cutting edge content in other games. We all have years of experience in MMO’s. Some of us met in other games and the rest right after the release of Guild Wars 2. We are established and looking to expand our roster.

The People

Our member base is composed of well-rounded players who enjoy the many facets of Guild Wars 2. We know how to chill and have fun but also get down to business and accomplish tasks. However, we recognize that behind every character is a person at a computer, and will be treated as such.

Mostly Modest’s members accomplish their goals in a stress free environment. We believe that elitist attitudes create hostile, not-fun environments which result in players eventually not wanting to play anymore due to the stress. After all, a game is a game and no matter how you look at it, you’re here to enjoy yourself. We need to celebrate our victories and our defeats; enjoying those times and learning from them make the game feel rewarding for everyone.

The Commitment

We do realize that people can have busy lives, so there is no requirement that members put in a certain amount of time each day. However, we are looking for personable people who we can play with at least a few times a week. Sometimes, you might not be able to play much one week, but another you might be incredibly active. Life happens; we get it. That being said, we do want active members who play the game and not dead spots on our roster.

A large part of being a member of the community is using our Mumble server (Mumble) to talk with other members in the guild. It is necessary for organized events such as dungeon runs or PvP (you can just listen if you don’t have a mic). Also, many of us hang out on the server when we play the game. We love to laugh, chat, brainstorm ideas and strategize with each other. You are strongly encouraged to join and talk with us on Mumble.

And Finally…

If you like what you hear and would like to know more, please -mail- me in game at Shaeltal Liashavi.7689. I greatly look forward to meeting you and having some fun together!

How squad works?

in Players Helping Players

Once you unlock the ability to become a Commander, you can use it in both PvE and WvW. The “Create” and “Disband” buttons become available to use, which you can use to activate/disable Commander mode. Creating a Squad enables other players on the entire current zone/map to see you as a blue icon. Once they can see you, they can right click your portrait and use the “Join Squad” option to join your Squad.

After people have joined the squad, they are able to use the exclusive Squad chat through /d or /squad. This text color shows up as a slightly dark yellow.

Using the Disbanding option disables the blue marker from appearing on the map and above your head.

Hope that answers your questions!

Commander working as intended?

in Players Helping Players

I was just wondering if Commander is working as intended. Currently, while using Commander, I can only invite people to my party, but not to my squad. I also cannot see my Squad members on my Map, but I can communicate with them through the Squad channel.

In addition, I cannot see exactly how many members (and who) I have in the squad as well. The only thing I can see are the people in my party. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Just throwing this out here in case someone has a definitive answer, or in the hope that someone from ANet can confirm that this is how it is intended to function. Thanks in advance!
