Guild Wars 2

Well, my search is over and I’ve found what I think will fit wonderfully. Thank you to all who showed interest and took some time to chat with me. I really appreciate that. Too many blind guild invites being hurled around lately, nothing is personal anymore, so I appreciate the time you all spent. To those whose guild I did not join, sorry for being a jerk and not joining your guilds. -.- You all were most kind and accommodating to my particular issues.

I’ve actually generated more interest than I thought I would. Small guilds DO exist! To those who replied or sent me in-game messages, I’ve replied back to you all. I’ve made no decisions yet, but hope to in the near future.

Hello, and good evening! I’m looking for a small, friendly, laid back PVE guild (20-30 people-ish [If small guilds even exist anymore :‘(…..]) to share PVE adventures with. I’m a veteran player, having played GW2 since launch and GW1 for 8+ years. (Good gracious, has it been that long? Thanks for making me feel old, ANet). I love to help newer players (or those with new characters) doing map exploration and story mode, with the occasional dungeon thrown in. I’m currently on the Tarnished Coast server, but since I don’t do PvP or WvW for a plethora of reasons, server location isn’t particularly an issue.

I’d love to find a group of players (oooh, bullet points):

• Who value friendship and getting to know people as opposed to simply adding numbers to their guild.
• Who don’t take things too seriously.
• Who are more than willing to spend 4 hours doing something that should really only take 10 minutes because we’re screwing around and simply having fun.
• A group who will cater to the fact that a single tree node half a map away will very likely take priority over the event that just popped up directly in front of us (Goodness, no! Harvesting trees can’t wait until after the event. Perish the thought!).
• A group who understands that my dungeon-ing skills can probably be summed up as “terrible rubbish,” but aren’t going to scream at me for pressing the red button that plainly says “Don’t Push.”
• A group who understands that sometimes one simply needs to jump off a cliff for the sheer thrill of it. (Whether or not you rez me for such a display of tomfoolery is entirely up to you and not counted against you.)

What I bring to the table:

• Nothing of particularly great value.

About me (you shouldn’t have told me I can make bullet points):

• I’m 31 years old.
• I have a job, so sometimes that’s going to take priority over gaming. Most distressing, I know, but a necessary evil, I’m afraid.
• I’m fairly active, usually on nightly somewhere between the hours of 5pm and 11pm (Eastern Time).
• Fun fact: I have both Tourettes Syndrome and Aspergers Syndrome, the latter of which being more “visible” during interaction, so please be patient with me as I get to know people, however I’m fairly decent with one on one conversations. Group interaction is more difficult to me, but as time progresses, that will get easier for me. The reason I shy away from large guilds and target smaller guilds is because I can get very easily overwhelmed and will shut down.
• Probably shouldn’t have mentioned the above point as many people have probably stopped reading at this point.
• I hate spiders. Spiders must die. Killing spiders takes priority over the harvesting node that took priority over the event. If there were spiders or harvesting nodes during the battle with Zhaitan, it’s very probable I’d have left you to fight an Elder Dragon all by your lonesome while I gathered my truffles with glee and giddiness.
• I don’t currently have a working mic (and get very uncomfortable around voice chat scenarios anyway), but I could, perhaps, rectify that if I find the right group.

So, there you are. If my unrealistic demands are actually not entirely unrealistic or if anyone is interested in curing my soul-crushing loneliness and would love to go frolicking in the woods while mercilessly hunting the little white rabbits. Odd how things work. A crippling fear of putting myself out there to the public, yet here I am doing exactly that. I take that as a sign of growth and improvement. Or temporary insanity. I knew that Asura selling those Omnomberry Tarts looked shady… In any event, I have social issues, so be forewarned that you’ll need to be patient with me.

Dear Guild Wars 2 Community,

I am in need of a guild. Slaying the servants of Orr or poor bunny rabbits who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time all by one’s lonesome grows wearying after a while.

I am on the Maguuma world and looking for a small(er) guild; a group of nice, friendly, mature people – I don’t need crude “yo mama” jokes and F-bombs being dropped every other statement – who I can play with at my leisure and enjoy my time with. I don’t care a thing about WvW and have very little interest in dungeons (although I will partake from time to time), so my main focus is PvE.

I am 28 years old, a long-time Guild Wars player (6.5 years or so) and have been playing Guild Wars 2 since Day 1. I’m by no means a “1337 epic pro” player, or whatever the youth of today call good players, but I do my best to be as helpful as possible to those who need/want it. I am a very patient person and if I ever work up the nerve to actually say something, I am known to provide a bit of comic relief now and then.

*Willing to be patient with me until I come out of the shell that I have so masterfully crafted around myself.

*Ironically, voice communication would be a plus, provided I gather up the nerve to use it. I actually like people, just need to work on engaging them.

What I bring to the table:
*Activity – mostly evenings U.S. Eastern time zone
*Helpfulness in whatever areas that I can provide it
*Comic relief in getting myself killed in the most epic of fashions.

That’s that. Hm. My list of demands far exceeds that which I offer. So sad. Tis what it is, I suppose. Be gentle. I’m fragile.

I’m a 1-hand sword/dagger guy personally and will avoid that particular skill if fighting atop a perilous place, but like they said above me. Birds. ’nuff said.

I do have a gripe about ranger secondary weapons, though. Why can’t rangers use rifles? It would make sense given the whole hunter theme. But no. Instead of rifles, they get greatswords. What the deuce? I want a rifle, dang it. It makes more sense.
