With this post i only want to give my 2 cents on how to improve sPVP.
My premise is that at this very moment sPvP – in my own opinion – is boring, unbalanced and totally forgettable for a title like Gw2 that is supposed to be PvP oriented.

[Capture the point\domination]
Domination is predictable. You fight in a battle where your team has 100 points and the opposite one has 240 and the fun is already gone. There is a 1% little hope that your team can still be successful, aka the match is over already (and this is why some player leave the match in progress, this is why you are then “asked” to join the other team).
Domination atm is mostly zerging around with some random ppl with some random profession that could or could not combine well together.
Please add a “capture the flag”, add an “objective” mode or even a “football” mode that can grant that the result of the match can be overturned at any time.

[professions balance per team]
Limit the professions that can stay at the same time in a team. It’s really tressful when you fight against a team with 3 necros in it, that can summon an huge amount of pets…

[Maps]
Add some more maps..really.. it’s not possible to play in those 4 maps. And this should have been a priority by day1. You have done a HUGE, wonderful world and the sPvP maps are only 4 totally forgettable maps?

[Down state]
Pets\clones\ghosts should not be allowed to hit downed players….that’s ahuge advantage for mesmers, necro and any class that has “permanents” pets

[bonus\siege weapons suggestions]
The trebuchet in battle of kyhlo is fun….the cannon on capricorn is not (and for what reason you have to take ammos for the cannon and not for the trebuchet?!).
My personal taste would be to add a siege ready-to-use weapon for each map, but this is totally personal..
Plus my suggestion is to add some bonus around the map (classical medikits, buffs, powerup etc)

That’s all for the moment.. I could stay one day to list and whine about the things I don’t like in sPvP but I don’t even think that could help the developers improving the sPvP that – personally – is the worst PvP implementation (still somehow enjoyable at moments) I’ve ever played in a MMO; but that wouldn’t help at all. I hope my critique HELPS the devs to improve the game, rather than offend or pi** them off.
