Guild Wars 2

I saw Guardian doing this to the bandits outside Vigil keep on the Crystal Desert server the other day. At first I suspected botting, he was randomly swinging in the air, till a mob got close…then he healed himself after the fight – so I thought it was all good. Then I got overwhelmed by some mobs and died…and this toon stayed right around my area, swinging around randomly. I asked for a rez, no response….then I noticed him warping around. I don’t play a guardian, so I thought that’s a neat ability they have.

Now I know what to look for and report.

I posted earlier, back on page 10, since then – I’ve downloaded 2 patches from Anet for GW2, updated my video drivers, forwared my ports, added the GW2 folder to my antivirus exceptions and used the /client80 tactic. After a small update from Anet on Thurs or Fri? No more disconnects.

I’ve played all weekend, over 10 hours of game time with no Error 7. All of my toons worked flawlessly.

During that time, I’ve rolled back the port fowarding and the /client command…and yesterday, about 3 hours of game time, no disconnects. I’ve done dungeons, WvW and SPvP…all good

I don’t know what it is but I think is was related to the patch…I didn’t see positive results till then.

If it comes back, then I suspect that it is a bug triggered by a certain condition that the game goes through…it could be related to all of the skill points missing around the map, as they were there before I kept getting hit with disconnects.

Anyways, wanted to share that there could be light at the end of the tunnel… if anything changes, I’ll share.

I’ve been getting these errors 7:11:3:189:101 for the past 7-8 days or so. I don’t know if it has to do with an update/patch but my game was working soundly before that time.

It kicked me to the Character screen; at that point I can immediatly repick my toon (or a different one) and reenter.

It hits me in the open world, WvW, or in dungeons. It strikes at random, anywhere from 5 mins to an hour or two in. Though it should be noted that it seems to hit right before, during or right after an intensive fight…it rarely hits when nothing is going on (ie…i’m just walking out in the open). I’ve afked from my machine while my toon is in a safe area and it has never kicked me off if my toon is sitting idle. It does seems to come quicker during peak times.

However this evening, during peak time, it’s thrown me a new error; three times. I didn’t write the number down but it says a Network connectivity error and it kicks me all the way back to the log in splash screen. This during each reload and successive play it was kind enough to give me the 7:11:3:189:101 every now and again.

I’m hoping this evenings patch fixes things. But if it doesn’t, the game is mostly unplayable.

I will try some experimentation…if anything works I share with the masses
