Hello, I havent played GW2 for some time now and after it turned to F2P I have decided to start playing it again with a friend that has the F2P model. After some time I have noticed that the gems I bought have disappeared. I have bought them with gold at the very early stages of the game. Can someone explain what happened to them?
I find it to be very challenging, it makes you fight in other ways than just run and gun, I love doing personal stories for my Thief even though some are difficult I would not change it cause thats how its supposed to be, it makes you THINK on how you will tackle the problem and not just run in swing your swords and kill everything without even healing. Saying that the NPCs could use a bit of a tweak, the mobs are fine.
It is sad to see people abusing the report system because I myself have been told I will get banned too for reasons I find to be silly and kinda stupid. I like to joke about a lot of things and I don’t take anything seriously seeing as this is the internet and taking the internet seriously is like trying to understand a woman, in both cases it will not end well for you. In one of the case I was being reported when I called myself akitten because I didn’t know something (that was very obvious) and apparently thats verbal abuse (I guess they want to protect me so I wont verbally abuse myself any further) I have gotten messages like “Enjoy your ban” and “Don’t say that or you will get banned” whispers which I just didn’t know how to respond so they went unanswered. I have seen the reddit post where ANet answered people why they have gotten banned and most of em were funny to me and not at all offending but some people have a bleep up theirkitten and get offended by the simplest of things. I am 100% that if I say “My kitten is in heat” I would get at least 10 people who would say “reported” right off the bat, even though its not offensive, its not wrong , it hurts nobody and they would let me say it on a Christian TV show and yet people still go “OOOH HE SAID kitten, LETS REPORT HIM CAUSE HE SAID A BAD WORD” just because they took it out of context and made it sound bad.
Regarding being offended I would just like to quote Steve Hughes
“How to you make a law about offending people, how do you make an offence to offend people, being offended is subjecting it has everything to do with you as an individual or a collective or a group or a society or a community your moral conditioning your religious belief what offends me may not offend you and you want to me a law against this?”
