Looks to be a few KB over 1 gig to me.

Its a lot bigger than 600.

I’m going to log in and see how busy Gunners is.

I might even go see if it’s worth doing some Orr farming. That is if I can get some hits in past the bots.

I have been reading the QQ on the forums here trying to send myself to sleep but my insomnia is just too strong tonight. I hear there are some pretty awesom parties going on in LA atm. I might have to brave the cold and hop back on to join the fun

There are a LOT of EU players who haven’t had any emails whatsoever.

I thought I might have missed mine, but I had to re-authenticate today by email after a router reset and I only had 1 email to that account, the one to let myself log in. I haven’t had a single email from ANET about the haloween event.
Some EU players have had 2, one with the 22nd and one with the EU date of the 23rd.

It doesn’t really bother me, I just think there would have been less confustion and QQ if someone had just said hours ago. ‘You have at least 7 more hours to wait so if you are staying up to catch the start you might as well go to bed now.’

That is why a lot of the EU players, understandably, are angry.

Why does everyone assume there are problems with the patch?

Normal update time is still 2 hours away. Why makes you think they will update any sooner than they do any other week?

Umm how about 4 years of not having to wait until after 8:55 p.m. of the posted date for release??? You guys saying that I should just wait and to stop complaining need to make your own thread like I did and stop attempting to flame and troll people who don’t care about your opinion, I am speaking for myself and I have made room for others who may feel the same way as I do. On the other hand I have not invited anyone to come and express their feelings of disagreement. Good Evening

That’s not true though. ALL their updates have been extremely late in the evening PST. This is just another update. So you may have spent the last 4 years in another game not waiting…maybe even GW1, but in this game, I’ve already grown used to staying awake late if I want to see the content, which says something. It’s called a pattern….

The 22nd has come and gone for quite a lot of people in the EU. Maybe not for the Americans. There was a reason I said ‘for them’.

To be honest I think the main problem has been that people have asked when the update is coming out. They have been repeatedly told ‘the 22nd’ the 22nd has come and gone for them. Whereas if someone had said instead of a copy paste response something like, ‘The update will likely not be released for another x hours.’ Most of the QQers would have looked at the post time, worked out what time it would be for them and most likely have gone to bed instead of sitting here moaning for hours that it isn’t out yet and they have been waiting for no reason.

I know a lot of people don’t use twitter and other social networking sites like that so a lot were looking at the big news on the official forum and missing the tiny little star next to the october 22nd headline, and like many others I didn’t recieve any emails about the event. I’m not complaining about this, but I do think that a more productive answer from the Devs in the structure I mentioned above would have been more productive and resulted in slightly less QQ.

If it’s 11:59 PST then I think that works out to 8 AM for us in the UK which I personaly actualy think is a decent time for an update.

Yes it is 2:30 in the UK right now, and we probably wont have the update until after 8AM, but that wasn’t my point.

People are saying that UK time is GMT, and it is not.

So what good would it be if ANET posted the times in GMT when people still think GMT and UK time are the same thing when they are not?

Wouldn’t matter what timezone ANET used, I bet more than half the people don’t have a clue what timezone they are in anyways.
