I bought the retail game, on disc, and have been trying to install it, only to get an error window that states: “A serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run. You can help us prevent this error from occurring in the future by reporting it to ArenaNet. Please press the Send button to report this error.” I ALSO tried the downloader from the website, only to get the very same result. It doesn’t even download anything.
I went through the motions of sending that report off.. and I’ve scoured the internet for a possible solution, including everything on GW2’s website. None of the solutions other people have came to have worked for me and I’m getting pretty frustrated over it.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, and my system specs more than surpass the game’s system requirements.
Someone please help!
