Props to those behind this dungeon. Very fun, the best addition to gw2 since launch. My dissapointment still stands regarding the ascended gear, but that does not detract from how well-done the fractal of the mists is. And extra props to the choice to disable waypoints: While the inevitable unexpected bug or three will arise (parties having to wipe to rez an unrezzable character) It is a huge step forward in taking the mechanics gw2 is best at and making people play by them and learn, instead of rushing the boss again and again after dying.
I am dissapointed in the adding of additional gear progression, but it is not a deal-breaker for me. I’ll give it a chance, as my personal enjoyment of the game is not affected a great deal. I feel that content-wise the game Is greatly starting to improve, However there could have been other options for incentivizing this new content beyond higher-statted gear. It is, irregardless, another straw upon the camel’s back for many. Time will tell if this was a mistake.

A good improvement. Immediately noticed the difference today, though I couldn’t place my finger on why exactly the game looked better till I realized the FOV was changed. It’s also appreciated you guys kept the option in for those who dislike it to remain with the old FOV.
During many scripted fights, (claw of jormag, blightgast, Many dungeon bosses.) The music does not play for me unless I go to sound options and change the default output device back and forth a few times. even then, that has a 25% or so success rate. Anyone else been having issues with music playing during those sorts of fights?
I have no trouble with any other sounds playing in the game. the standard combat music comes on during the appropriate fights with regular enemies. It’s only during those large boss battles where the special soundtracks play that it tends to, not work.
