Guild Wars 2

I think this sort of thing has just changed over time. It’s a problem with mmos in general. Mmos used to be more group oriented and people would socialize but there was an increasing demand for soloable content by players. Now the majority of mmos are largely soloable. What I like about GW2 is that it gets people playing together, even if they aren’t grouped, as opposed to all other mmos where people play solo, compete for everything and are hostile to each other.

I’m 26.

I’ve played WoW since the beginning and various other mmos but I’ve really grown to hate the cutthroat competition and the selfish behaviour in these games. To me, that isn’t what mmos are supposed to be like. I should want to be around other players not be irritated by their presence and avoid them. I find myself very disappointed with the mmos genre in general these days.

GW2 I feel got that aspect right though. Players can work together and enjoy being around each other, and thats why I really like this game. I feel like this is how mmos should have been.

I feel the same way. I just can’t live without shared mobs and resources. For a genre where people are supposed to be playing together, it just makes sense. Should have been done ages ago.

200 hours 13 mins over 28 days. I have only one character and I’m still not level 80 lol.

Most ranger pets I’ve seen just have the default name.

My most used pets are Waffles (bear), Sandwiches (eagle) and Zazzles (lynx).
