This happened to my group today also. The 5% entire group crash to desktop gutted me, heh.

Sent my bug report in from the crash client anyway.

I agree but for different reasons cough As a medium armor wearer, I am seriously jealous of the really nice variance and beauty of the light/heavy armor wearers. The leather armors are all mostly a bit bleh for me, apart from the Sylvari cultural ones and the Rascal set. The rest are just very….generic, uninspiring. Look at the variety of the crafting Tailoring ones – feathered, winged, masquerade – they’re gorgeous. As it is, once I’ve collected my Nightmare jacket I’m feeling hardpressed to see what else I’d want to continue farming for.

I’d be totally cool with this being a rare Transmutation stone or something – transmute armor appearance onto different armor class. I don’t see PvP as a valid argument for this either – people can already transmute armor to hide its strength, and personally I recognise a class more quickly by their weapon or actions than I do their appearance.

That’s assuming this story is true. The vast, vast majority of RP’ers will either participate fully in PvP if they want to join in, and know to set their RP aside for a moment; and those who don’t want to PvP simply won’t.

I am just amused that after so long we finally have PvP’ers complaining that RP’ers are griefing, rather than the other way around :P

Bwahahaaa, after all these years of being griefed finally RP’ers can get their revenge on PvP’ers!

More seriously, I’ll wager most RP’ers in WvWvW are as serious about PvP as anyone else in there. I’d be surprised if they stayed there doing nothing for long.

Definitely want to see this. I don’t regret my character choices but after getting hold of some awesome dyes I’m desperate to change my character’s hair colour to match them :P

I’m in sort of a similar situation myself; hit level 45 and am looking to go try out a few dungeons.

I would strongly recommend Kirin’s thread – this is an excellent discussion of how a Thief can support in PvE, and I can see how that would then extend to support in PvP. Think of us more as de-buffers – stuff like perma-blind/weakness on NPC’s, or Shadow Refuge to save downed players – that thread really inspires me to make a PvE support focused thief.

This is my Sylvari Thief. I adore how he looks, he’s just so striking in game. I had some luck finding Midnight Ice dye randomly in game, heh. And it looks great on Sylvari cultural armor.
